Nothing is more pleasurable than starting my day with a cup of freshly brewed Starbucks coffee. Aaahh, I love just the thought of it!
I haven’t always had a love affair with coffee. In fact, as a young adult, I hated it; never even touched the stuff. I used to mock my colleagues who just had to have their daily dose of caffeine. Don’t know exactly when my passion for coffee started, but it did. I like my coffee strong, black and hot.
Growing up, I used to go with my grandmother to visit her neighbor. They would sit and chat over a cup of coffee and it seemed like such a fun thing to do. I remember my grandmother’s words of caution when I would try to sneak a sip of her coffee. “Coffee will make you black!” When I finally sneaked a sip, it was so unpleasant tasting that I wondered why on earth they savored that hot black liquid.
This year Joe got me a Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew for Christmas. It further fuels my passion for coffee. I am now like my grandmother. I am older, wiser, and love laughing and sharing stories with friends over a cup of coffee. I have transitioned from one who would never dare drink coffee, to one who finds coffee one of her best
