Description:I did all this while DH is out of town. Won't he be surprised when he gets home?! I needed additional space for my scrap stuff, so I had my closet re-done and this is what I ended up with. I got most of my storage solutions from Container Store, and they even installed the shelves. This was my inspiration http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=71774&PRODID=10012790
The closet is 72" wide with sliding closet doors. The shelves are 20" deep, except the top 2 are 12" deep. I put shelf liners on the shelves with my albums. The liners are a thick opaque sheet that is precut to perfectly fit the elfa shelves.
From the top down:
Shelf 1: Not visible in photo, but I have surplus office stuff stored there (file folders, receipt boxes, large photo frames, etc.
Shelf 2: Photo boxes, small unused albums waiting to be scrapped, home files, envelopes for card making, assorted photo frames for gifts
Shelf 3: alphabet stickers, extra embellishments, photos, page protectors, page planners, unused 12x12 albums (I buy them whenever they're on sale)
Shelf 4: 12x12 Albums in progress, the pink container holds my Digital Rebel XT(I love the perfect fit!), archival photo boxes, photo cd's, surplus adhesives are in the cute pink mesh drawers, embossing supplies, surplus ink pads, scissors.
Shelf 5: The pink/green canvas tote holds the scrap supplies that I use whenever I sit down to do a project, so I just grab it and put it right beside me. Also here are stamps in stacked document containers, xyron 500, acrylic paints. NOTE: My alpha stamps are stored in the dresser drawers behind my desk for convenience.
Shelf 6: Ribbons, rub-ons, punches and foam stamps are each in 12x12 plastic containers. PSB, a small tote for taking to crops (pink), and my laptop are on that shelf as well.
On the floor: My rolling crop bag, Iris carts contain other stuff like card making supplies, surplus tags, blades, etc. 2 stackable files contain hanging files for home office documents.
Lots of space to add extra stuff, because I can easily stack. Also, the Elfa shelves can be adjusted up or down as needed. TFL!
