Description:This is my very simple LO for the Name Game Challenge. Thanks so much Heidi for starting this challenge. It has resulted in me doing a LO I wouldn't otherwise have done, told a story that would not have been journaled, and used a photo that I probably wouldn't have scrapped! The photo is printed on canvas paper which is why it might look a little grainy. TFL!
Name: Max
Gender: Male
Origin: Latin
Meaning: The Greatest
Daddy and I decided that we were not going to find out if you were a boy or a girl. We had 2 ultrasounds, and I was a bit worried that we might be able to see certain ‘bits’ that would give away the surprise, but luckily that didn’t happen. We had several names on our list - for a boy, we liked Joe, Gus, Max and Charlie. For a girl, we liked Jaida or (again) Charlie. Daddy doesn’t have a middle name, and considers them to be redundant, so initially he was not going to bother with a middle name for you. I really wanted to give your big sister the honour of choosing your middle name, and Daddy thought that was a great idea. Stevie decided on William. We both agreed immediately, as it is the name of Daddy’s grandfather (your great-grandfather). And even though my dad’s real name is Kenneth, everyone calls him Bill, so there is a connection there as well. By the time you were nearly ready to be born, we had narrowed it down to either Max or Charlie for a boy, and Jaida for a girl. I told Daddy that he could make the final decision. Straight after you were born, he looked at you and said “Hello Max. No, Charlie. No, Max.”
And Max you are.
