Description:This is a layout of my DS first soccer team. It really wasn't a positive experience even though the photos look happy and I talk about that in the journaling. I got the creative idea behind the brads from Becca (skraphappy) who had a layout with brads.
Jounaling:
You were so excited to be playing soccer with Pepe Baez. Then we found out you weren't going to be on the same team. You both were devastated. Pepe didn't even want to play at all. You at least tried. When Pepe's coach found out what it took to get Pepe to play he reluctantly he had you switch teams. We almost took you out of soccer as I wan't sure his attitude was right when you joined his team. He was pretty negative to us about your skill level and having to many kids on his team. You worked hard though and in the end got the award for the most improved and dependagle player. You really were a great soccer player and I was so proud of how you developed. He may not have seen it but you were the best kid at giving your all every time on the field. You had your head in the game and even on the sidelines. For a kid who never played before you looked pretty good to us. It is sad to say though in the end you were not anxious to play soccer again.

We had heard this coach was great. We were assured the boys would be on the same team and not against each other so we were shocked when they were seperated. Pepe comes from a long line of great soccer players so he was selected by this coach to play for him and that is how my son got left out. When the eason was over the coach asked how many of you want to play spring ball for me and Stephen looked at me scared and later said he really didn't want to and asked if he had to play in the spring. Yes I am a proud mother and knowing my childs history makes it harder when I see this type of attitude to a kid learning to do a new skill. See the likes for my childs history.
This is an awesome page! I love how you arranged the small photos along the strip and put the brads along the side of the large photos. I am learning so many creative techniques from you!
This is a great layout. I really like the color choices and the small tilted photos give the page movement, which is awesome.
I'm sorry your son didn't enjoy playing, it's hard when a coach ruins the experience.
Thanks for sharing!
