Description:Okay, I know the picture quality is not the greatest, but while I was going through a series of my sons baseball pics I just happened to notice my orange shirt in the background of every picture. There I sat behind this fence watching my son. So I blew it up the best I could to have it still be a useable picture. And it got me to thinking.......The journaling hidden behind the picture reads:
I spend a lot of my time behind bars. I don't get let out for good behavior. Just the occasional rain out. For us baseball is a year round sport. There is no off season. Between games, practices, and conditioning it's easy to be behind these bars six to seven days a week. But there I am behind the bars, game after game, cheering my boys on. Watching them do what they love best. There are days when I hope for a rain out just so I can stay home and do...nothing. But with a new school year approaching, Brenden will be a freshman this year and Blake is starting Jr. High school, I realize now, more than ever that I wouldn't trade my time behind these bars for anything. From behind these bars I have watched both boys grow and mature into young men. Young men that I'm proud of. From behind these bars I've seen them both learn about what it means to be a part of a team, and watch them give all they have for a taste of victory when defeat was closer at hand. From behind these bars I've watched them learn about respect, the value of hard work and determination. My time behind these bars will be over before I know it. Someday, sooner than I want to think about, my boys are going to graduate, go on to college, and get on with their lives and I'm going to be longing to be behind these bars again cheering them on.
Oh brother, every time I proof read this I start to to tear up!

I have done my own share of time behind those fences. Wouldn't trade them for the world. BUT, I TOO love those RAIN OUTS. Great memory PIC. Beautiful LO.
This is fantastic. I like how you used the clock to symbolize time and the photo. The paper strips look good too- But I especially like the journaling.
I was the mom in the stands through 3 kids of baseball, football, basketball and I wouldn't of traded it for anything! WOnderful journaling and know that there are a lot of us out there learning how to live with grown children. Hang tight and love the time you have!
