Description: This is my spin on the challenge to do a LO about someone that's "real." My dh is such a good daddy to our kiddos. His love for them and their love for him is about as real as it gets. My dh has been our ds' hero from the very beginning. Our ds is 21 and his dad is still his hero. This LO explains and documents that relationship.
Poem (author unknown):
A careful man, I want to be - a little fellow follows me.
I do not care to go astray for fear he'll go the self-same way.
I cannot once escape his eyes-what he sees me do he tries.
Like me - he says he's going to be - that little chap that follows me.
He thinks that I am big and fine - He believes in every word of mine - the base in me - he must not see - that little chap that follows me.
I must remember as I go - thru summer sun and winter snow - I'm building for the years to be - that little chap who follows me.
My journaling:
How precious when a little boy's hero is his daddy. Ian's hero has always been his dad. I've always been thankful his dad has been a godly man of integrity. Tim has this poem cross-stitched in his office as a reminder that little eyes are watching. Photo: 12-25-86
