I sneak into the girls' bedroom. It is nighttime. The only sound comes from the tick-tick of the clock. The girls quietly sleep in their beds. I look at them. Their blond hair is tossed to the side. They breathe easily. Contently, they sleep. I feel the peace. I feel a blessing from God.
In moments like these, I remember that the greatest blessings on this earth are the people God puts in our lives. There are no greater blessings than the husband and two children God has given me. Each day, I thank God for giving me these people to share my life.
"Bluest sky. Cloudy day. Whether it's good or bad that tends to come my way. From the highest hill or deepest valley I will claim his rest. For the one who loves me makes me richly blest.
Fresh delight. Deep lament. Whether in joy or pain I've learned to be content. For the one who fills me with his spirit always knows what's best. And the one that loves me makes me richly blest. "
- from the song "Richly Blest" by Ken Young, Hallal Music
