Description: My girls posed for this picture for me. They don't usually look this aggressive even when they are fighting. Journaling is just something I overheard during one of those days when all they seem to do is fight.
You two are great friends, but even great friends have times when they don’t see eye to eye. You seem to be having the same argument a lot lately. It stems from Zoe wanting to control whatever imaginary game you both happen to be playing at the time. Madeline is happy to take directions up to a point and then Zoe’s demands go past being reasonable and Madeline puts her foot down. I overheard the following after one such recent episode:
M: “Zoe! Will you just stop bossing me around!”
Z: “I’m not. I’m just being the little squirrel.”
M: “Well, I’m not playing. Ever!”
Z: “Madeline! That is very mean! You have to play! Little squirrel needs feeding!”
M: “Well I’m not. I hate being bossed around. If you do that when you’re at school, no-one’s going to like you.”
Z: (After a long pause and in a little voice) “Well, they like it at kindy.”
