Description:I've read Cathy Zielski's new book and I'm soooo inspired. I've really taken the pressure off myself to embellish layouts and it feels soooo goood.
Just a bit of cardstock, a photo and my story here.
I am still dazed by the fact that I, Ms Two Left Feet, who can’t throw to save herself and once got seriously entangled in a volleyball net, could have given birth to a daughter who can only be described as a “Sportshead.” When you are not up a tree, bouncing on the trampoline, dancing, or dangling from the monkeybars, you’re begging to go swimming or to be taken to the park.
I should not have been surprised then, that when the Commonwealth Games were on you would want to be glued to the television at every possible opportunity. You and Dad would snuggle up beside each other companionably, and it wouldn’t much matter what sport was on. I love this photo of you both. You’re so comfortable together. His arm is around you, and your body relaxes into his. Both sets of eyes are riveted to the same point and the be-plastered finger in your mouth signals some kind of tense moment on screen. You’d pass the occasional comment to each other about a particular vault, speed record or feat of strength. Zoe and I just don’t get it. You’re in your own world, you two. You’re sportsheads.
