Description:I take such wonky photos of my layouts. This one has a bit cut off the right hand side.
Using up some old supplies. AGAIN! Wow, those sonnet poem stones are from 300 years ago! I get points for that right?
When people know I have young children, they sometimes shake their heads in sympathy and say something like “Oh it’s so hard when they’re little isn’t it?” And yes, when you were babies it could get busy and tiring and even occasionally repetitive, but I am convinced that these early years are the easy ones. You two pretty much do as you’re asked, you don’t talk back or want your boyfriends to stay over and you are easy to entertain. You think going on family trips is the most fun a kid can have. If you’re sad, a cuddle can make it all better and at the rare times it doesn’t, a biscuit will always do the trick. We know where you are at all times and we know that if you are not with us then the person with you can be trusted to keep you safe.
Some nights while I lie in bed waiting for sleep to come, I hear groups of kids outside on the street. It may be the early hours of the morning and yet I hear the drunken voices of young girls, maybe in their mid teens, sometimes screeching at their boyfriends or throwing up in the gutter. I wonder if their mothers know where they are or what they’re doing. Are these women worried out of their minds because their daughters haven’t come home?
It is at these times that I know that I am the lucky one. I know where my babies are. They’re tucked up warm and safe in their beds. Yes, they will wake up at the crack of dawn and be ready to start the day, but they will want to share that day with me. Yes, this truly is the easy part and I am loving it.
WOW! That is some FANTASTIC journaling. I totally know what you mean ... the layout design, as well is fabulous, love the sleeping pic and the title work. This is all around perfect.
