Day Trip Milwaukee, WI
July 3, 2006, Early in the morning the shed next door to my apartment complex caught on fire. I woke up at 2am instead of the planned 5am (too early in the morning either time). ShaRon got here around 5:30am ready to go for the ride that was supposed to take about 5 hours (straight west on I-94). The ride was very nice. Before we knew it we were in Chicago. ShaRon slept most of the way through Michigan giving me a chance to sing very loud like I was in the car by myself. We ended up at the first planned stop of Jelly Belly within 4 hours of our start (I was not speeding much!) We took the tour which was nice but, nothing like I expected. Souvenirs was a mandatory purchase and then we headed to the next planned stop Miller Brewing Company. To my disappointment it was closed for the day due to the up coming holiday (Fourth of July). We made our way over to see this big big beautiful building that turned out to be Miller Park where the Milwaukee Brewers play (a game was in session). From there we took a pit stop at Target then headed to the SummerFest. The Summerfest turned out to be very very nice. Again, nothing like I thought it would be. To me it was very nice and everything and everyone seemed very organized and enjoying the atmosphere. The cool thing about the fest was music was being played everywhere everyone was just free to roam and listen to all of the talents. We went to the Marcus Amphitheater where the Mary J. Blige concert was being held. We met two guys that were from Madison, WI and their names were John and XXXX. They were very fun to talk too. One was very conservative and the other was daring. The show began around 8pm with Ne-Yo being the opening act. MJB arrived on stage and poured her heart and soul out during that concert. It was very nice and I never sat down. The drive on the way home was very long but, the trip was well worth it. I would love to go back to Wisconsin and site see more.

Ooh, I love the title font and the way you put everything in the Jelly Belly hat - that is such a great idea! I love that you kept the ticket stub and all of those momentos. This is such a fabulous layout - I am adding to my favorites!
