Description:This is for Tinkertiny's challenge from the message boards. Also the first time I've tried taking my own picture.
The Road Not Taken
Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowthe
Then took the other as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sign
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference
This is a poem I have loved for years and yet I’ve taken the worn and sorry path in regards to my physical health. I am out of shape, in back pain, and feel so unfocused. A new month is almost here, and so I will now start out upon MY road not taken – one of physical health. I am ready to let go of my sloth, back pain, and weakness. To that end I make a promise to myself. Yoga every morning – at least 5 days a week to get reacquianted with how I move, how I breath, how I position myself, how I AM. And four times a week a hike or video workout. Back excercises every day….no excuses! And a massage. Now I am taking my personal path less traveled and wearing it down to see if it will make all the difference.
