Description: This is really my first attempt at making cards with my extra scrapbook supplies. I got so much great advice from people here about getting started - so thanks!
The top one is birthday card for my sister, the second is an anniversary card for my in-laws. I showed them to my husband to make sure he thought they were nice enough to send and he said "they look professional, no one will know you made them." (They look a little washed out in the photo)
I have so much of this Wild Asparagus paper and words because I won them as a prize, and I don't use them much in scrapbook pages - probably because they are girl colors and I have boys - so I thought this would be the perfect use for it. I used a ribbon that came on a gift. I used ivory cardstock for the cards (I have more ivory cardstock that came with refill pages than I will ever possibly use) and I re-used envelopes from cards that I had received. So, the total cost is the 2 brads - much cheaper than buying at Hallmark!!!
