My Dad is the only person in my sons' lives who truly bonds with their obsession with trains. My Mom has now permanantly lost her dining room table to these electric trains. Last year when my Dad was waiting for his open-heart surgery, she felt that putting together this train layout for my boys (his only grandchildren) was what kept him alive, so she puts up with it. This photo is from our family Chanuka celebration which was early this year because my Dad was going in for more surgery that week and he was very nervous that he wouldn't be okay in time for Chanuka. Happy ending - Dad came through the surgery just fine. Small photo of trains lifts to show journaling.
