There I said it…and it’s true! I have an honest to goodness love affair with Jane Austen movies. And well books too! As funny as it may seem to be crazy over an author who wrote about love and such in the 1800’s…she was perfectly on target. I’ll never forget the first time I saw Pride and Prejudice. I stayed up until late late in the morning because there was no way I could possibly turn the TV off without knowing what happened to Mr. Darcy. From that night on I have been madly in love with anything Jane Austen! I’ve now read the books and reread them. Watched the movies and rewatched them. Cried when Mr. Darcy proposes to Elizabeth, laughed and rejoiced with Emma and Mr. Knightly and of course loved every minute of Sense and Sensibility and wished terribly that the girls father had never died forcing them to leave Norland. But then maybe that is why it all works the way it does. Whatever it is...I am simply head over heels madly in love with Jane Austen!
