There it is - the music, if you can call it music. Like the theme to Jaws, the theme music to your favorite show is unique. I can be in the next room and immediately know what your watching.
You sit quietly in the recliner, popcorn and drink at your side, your most essential tool -- the remote -- in your right hand. Like a deer caught in the headlights of a car, you are in the Law & Order zone.
A lot like the twilight zone, you must watch the same episodes night after night, and if you are lucky you can miss all commercials by channel surfing between all the Law & Order episodes on all the different channels.
You know there is a television god because as usual you fall asleep before the end of the many episodes you are watching simultaneously which makes watching the same episodes over and over seem like you are watching them for the first time.
I don't think you have ever seen the end of an episode.
