The Basement Sleepover Tradition

Description: Layout from my high school years celebrating my love of the basement sleepover. Scan is a little funny...ribbon matches better IRL. Ah, the basement sleepover. How many times I enjoyed this ritual throughout junior high and high school, I am just not sure. My most frequent guests were Maggie and Becky (shown here), plus Erin and Stephanie. Late nights, making up crazy games and creating crazy artwork, watching tv and recording fake radio shows for our entertainment only. I loved the basement in that first house in Wheaton. Drafty and cold, but it was mine. Yes, I loved the basement sleepover. One of the few times I was truly fifteen, and loving it.
