Description:This may not be the prettiest layout I have ever done, but it was extremely important for me to make. I often draw my journaling inspiration from song titles and lyrics. This one was drawn from a song by Morrissey called "Every day is like Sunday" and the layout is about my struggle with depression. The postcard on the layout features a line from the song and it reads" I dearly wish I was not here." A slight warning: the journaling isn't graphic but I do want to warn people it does deal with depression and does have some intensity (for me anyway). Thanks for letting me share this with you...it was therapeutic!
"every day is like sunday. Everyday is silent and grey." I have always felt Morrissey was speaking directly to me in that song. As someonewho has struggled most of my life with depression, I have had my share of days when I couldn;t get out of bed because I was so paralyzed by dread, fear and loneliness. As a teen I thought continuously of escaping the small coastal town I was from. Now, that I am an adult and long gone from the town of my birth, I do feel more free, but I still struggle with my moods. I try to embrace the things in life which mean the most-the small things. It's still a tough fight, but I gain stregnth and hope...every day.
