Description:My bachelorette party was an all day, all night affair. This was one part of it, at the beach. (I cut off the bottom of the LO..oops!)
The journalling inside the envelope says:
I had my bachelorette party on August 14th, 2004 and we all had a great time. I had no idea what was planned for the day and evening, which made it even more intriguing!
I was picked up at 1:00 and taken to Elk Lake where the girls were waiting with a picnic. My mom had gone earlier in the day to stake out a picnic table in the shade as she knew I didn’t want to get tan lines that didn’t go with my dress! We ate lunch and then took turns going out on the paddle boats that they had rented. The weather was perfect – not sweltering hot but warm enough to enjoy the day.
After the lake, everyone went home to change. I went over to Lonnie’s and she gave me an outfit that I had to wear. It had a long Hawaiian print skirt, a flowered boob top (which I wore over a tank top) and a lei headpiece with a long veil attached to it. I guess overall it could have been a lot worse! (Although I have to say, the 1000 pleats on the skirt were NOT a good look!)
From there, we went to my mom’s place and everything was decorated in a Hawaiian theme. The girls started to show up, dressed to go along with the theme. We had jello shooters, spiked punch, vodka watermelon and a whole lot of food. Seeing my mom dressed up in a mumu and wig doing the makarana was a definite highlight!!
From there, we went out to the bar to go dancing. The first bar we hit happened to be having Ladies Night, which no one was aware of. After one stripper, we snuck out to go find somewhere that we could dance! Hit the second bar and finally called it a night around midnight. (After all, I’m an old lady now – at 30!!)
Inside the envelope is also a picture of the cake they got me.
