Description:I really don't like how this one came out. I hesitated to even post it. The pictures are of my dd's birthday in 1984 when she turned 4! The colors of the pictures had really turned brown. It was hard to match! I thought I'd do some stitching and didn't get it quite straight on the bottom. UGH!! I wanted to use the RS candles but the colors were way off...so I just copied them in my color choice. I don't really like this...but it's done.
Journaling: What do I remember about your 4th birthday party? I don't remember who was there. I don't remember what you received for presents. I don't remember what we ate. I do remember a cute little girl who had adorable curly hair and always made me smile. I used to think you were born an old soul. The words and wisdom that came out of you always amazed me. You flair for the dramatic was your forte!
From looking at the pictures I see that Jennifer and Joshua Thayer were at your party. You got some Barbie clothes and a stuffed, talking Alvin (from Alvin and the chipmunks).
It's 19 years later as I write this and your 23 birthday is days away. Where has my little girl gone??
Dawn yu are nuts -- this is soooo awesome. I love the blue with the brown, love the candles, the stitching, the tags -- and I especially love your journaling. so wonderful.
We all have pictures from our pre-scrap days that are equally as important to get in our books... I think you did a great job using colors to really bring the viewers eye to your daughter. Your journaling is heartfelt as well! Great job, Dawn!

Dawn I know exactly what you mean about old, brown pics and working on 4 year old pics when they are about to 23! Where was scrapbooking when my kids were babies! I have some horrible pics, but I've scrapbooked them anyway because it's all I have from them being so little! You did a great job with the journaling, totally honest work!

I think you are being WAY too hard on yourself - this is great! I especially love the candles and all the other embellishments. Also, the stitching really caught my eye - I've really gotta try it one day. Love the journalling too!

this layout is GREAT! I love your journaling it really is fantastic! I have old photos of my kids.... but the ones that it really made me think of were my oldest. I lost her 4 years ago and she would be 21 this year....so thank you for deciding to share this layout because you have inspired me to scrap some of her older photos!

Oh Dawn, this is so nice! I love how the stitching came out (even the crooked part-which by the way, is easy to do, especially with paper!) That journaling is so nice and I really like the candles. As usual, a very beautiful LO!

I like the stiching too. Are you using one of those little machines? I like the beads too on the title box turning 4. I am so glad you posted. You may not think it is the greatest but I enjoed seeing it.
