I have to be quick because I have an hour and a half to clean out the crickets, get showered, ironed and packed to go. Yeah, as if THAT'S going to happen. I ought to make the effort though, so I'll say so long and see you in a few days. If I drop in meantime, it'll be because I've got a phone signal AND a spare few minutes. The likelihood of that is small.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. What have you got planned?

I am being lazy. I am soon going to regret it when we have to rush out the door.

This morning I need to shower, go to the bank, post office, get a birthday present ready for a friend, pack lunches, pack swimming clothes and a few other items and get ds to swimming in just over an hour.
Then after swimming we have to rush to town for a meeting for dh, then we'll have some time and have supper and take ds to a birthday party.

Saturday we were suppose to have family up but I haven't heard a thing. I asked them the other day and they still weren't sure. so the 3 of us will be heading to the zoo weather they come or not.
Then Sunday and Monday not sure. Probably cleaning up the house. Then it's back to school.

Back home from my taxi servicing

Need to find some motivation. Is it in the coffee pot?

Have to vacuum the 1st floor & mop the kitchen. Need to make the guest room bed up & make sure it's presentable for visitors. (Britt, Jav and J2 arrive tonight!) Fix sloppy joe's for dinner whenever.... should also make potato salad & possibly deviled eggs or egg salad.

Britt really wants to go boating tomorrow afternoon. Sure hope we can! There's rain forecast off and on, so we shall see. No plans for Sunday or Monday. Hopefully just some down time to relax. Seems like we've been running, running & running lately.

Hi Virginia - we should have great weather for you!!

I got in a 4 mile run, need to run a couple errands, today is the first cross country meet of the season so we need to pick up Maryann and head out to that.

On Sunday I am running in the Bronco's 7k race - it finishes in the football stadium - can't wait, I've never been there before and now I get to run through the players' tunnel!!!

no workout

did some cleaning

no laundry

Amazon order came

I organized my 'delicates' drawer w/new organizers, purged some

got an over the door shoe organizer for our water bottles, purged some bottles

got a scarves hanger for our coat closet, organized that, purged some scarves

my friend did make some signs for the girls, each to match their rooms (favorite colors), and the sign says "I have an angel watching over me and I call him dad" she added a mini clothespin on the bottom of the sign so they could clip a picture to it

picked the girls up from soccer

went to JoAnns- got fabric for Camy's pillow project at school, some beads, rainbow loom bands, and a green ceramic pumpkin for my Halloween and Thanksgiving decor

went to Hobby Lobby-got more beads, rainbow loom bands, 12x12 pad, AC date stamper

went to Michael's- got two baskets for my bathroom linen closet, a wreath form, ribbon for wreath, spiders for wreath, plain wooden letter for wreath (B O O), wooden Halloween crafts for the girls to decorate, rainbow loom bands, and beads

I'm going to check another Michaels to see if they have more baskets like mine in different sizes. I want two more for my vanity and a few for my closet.

I know. Lilly has been making bracelets and selling them.

Soccer game today. We won! Now we're home. Camy and Abby are staying the night with my in-laws. Lilly has her bf over. They are being a bit prickly to each other today. lol More of the same for me today. Yesterday's list minus the shopping.

Saturday we did a lot of errands and browsing. Picked up 8 new packs of loom bands. We are having too much fun. Thankfully they were on sale.

Today we enjoyed the zoo this afternoon. Another awesome day.

Today was DD's 9th birthday party, we had it at the ice rink. She got some really nice gifts, all things that will keep her busy.

Tonight the washer died, and since it's ten years old we just went out and got a new one. This is after the dryer died just last week. And the chest freezer died at the end of July. Apparently ten years is the life expectancy of appliances We were able to get a replacement freezer and dryer on clearance. The washer was at least on sale, but holy cow have those gotten expensive since I last bought one.

Tomorrow will be church and probably grocery shopping. Then I need to finish my parent's anniversary album and housework.

Lillianne and her boyfriend. You've never heard anyone use the word 'prickly?' lol

It means...oversensitive: easily angered, offended, or upset.

Looks like everyone has had/having a good weekend.

My weekend has been football related.

Saturday worked in the canteen in the morning as we were hosting 5 preliminary final games. In the afternoon went to a body shop party. Caught up with a friend who is returning to New Zealand in 10 days time. Came home and got all the footy gear ready for DS's team.

Sunday was our preliminary final. Had to travel to the other side of town. We won after a nail biting 3rd quarter where the opposition came back but we were lucky to get two goals in the final quarter and keep them goal less. It has been a tiring day. I was so nervous. Still to do before going to bed, iron DS's school uniform, clean up the kitchen and get everything ready for work/school.

Well, I did the Broncos 7K race. What a disappointment, not well run AT ALL!! Way too many people and not enough of a staggered start. Tons of walkers - which is awesome - but they positioned themselves at the beginning. At first it was impossible to get around them, and then it became a game of finding the hole to run through. However, the biggest let down was that once we entered the stadium, instead of getting to run through the players tunnel to the finish line, we came to a screeching halt and it took 20 minutes to get from just before the the tunnel to the finish line. Then it took over 30 minutes to walk from the finish line to where they had water - very poor planning. Oh well, so it goes... I still got to stand on the field

this was taken well after the race had finished!

Way to go Marta! Stinks when the organization of an event lags but go you!!

Britt, Jav and J2 left around 9-9:30 this morning and Mark and I left on a motorcycle ride a couple of hours later. It was fun! A nice country drive on a route we've never been. Had lunch at a diner along the way and took a different (scenic) route home. Visited with friends for a little while, then came home for burgers and dogs on the grill. Good day!
