I have been told a few times in the past few months from family and friends. That I should start selling premade pages, and cards on etsy.com

I am leaning towards that I might just do it. Cause then, it will be a way to pay for my scrapbooking stuff

I would have to talk to a tax person and figure all that good stuff out. HA yeah good stuff

But the real question is PRICING!? How would I go about pricing my stuff.

Misting: (Once I start doing this)
Stitching: (Once I start this as well)
My timing:
Am I missing any items????

So please, feel free to help me out with how I should go about pricing my stuff

And on the other note, my best friend was telling me that she is going into a little craft business (for babies and toddlers) she sells handcrafted items such as baby blankets, little tutus, head bands ect. And my bestie is a crocheter just like me. And was wondering if I wanted to make baby items for her business. And all I would need to do is take the price of what it cost me to make the item and times is by 2 to make monies. I wouldn't do that till that fall time. Due to summer coming up and being way to busy. Unless I did it on sunny days sitting outside next to the pool

When I was crafting, I would take my total supplies used for an item and multiply it by 3. If I thought that wasn't enough, I added a couple of $$.

With scrapbooking, I think it would be the same formula.

Sorry I'm not much more help.

It is okay Virgina

But that is a good idea to multiply it by 3 So it is a little helpful.

I'm in the process of starting a shop up & have been scrolling through @ other shops' past sales to see what pages are consistently going for. I haven't quite settled on a price )or a name ) yet.

Yeah, I have some pages made up for it. I just need to settle on prices for everything. I see what people are selling. I just want to be around that but not put my stuff up for cheap cause I want to make money on what I am doing. I am sure you are in the same boat I am in.

Pricing is difficult. All my cards look so easy to make but usually take me a long time.

I sell them at work and there is no rhyme or reason what sells at any given time. Sometimes the cards I like the best and took me the most time sit while others that take no time at all are sold. I sell mine for $3 a piece or $4 for $10. I know that I could make more but I don't like taking advantage of people I work for. I just like to make the cards and would make them anyway and when I did it the first time, I made $150!!

I made $53 on Friday and got requests for graduation and father's day cards. I bought some supplies and will be working on them this week if they come in.

I have had people tell me they want me to scrap book for them but refuse. I barely can get my own stuff done.

Yeah, I kinda decided this weekend to go for a lower price than the average that I saw out there, just to see if I can get some moving. Most of the stuff I'm using is from my hoard so I need to use it anyway... if they don't sell, they're still cute, I'll just stick some pictures on them myself and shove them in an album

I was always told to take your materials and multiply by 3.

1/3 covers your supply cost
1/3 covers your "labor" cost
1/3 is your "profit"

I have not really been able to sit and figure out what I want to sell things for.

I think this week I will be sitting down looking at pages I had already done and figure things out. I am afraid of the summer rolling around working at a restaurant with a BIG patio and filling in at Afton the two days a week if I can. That I would be able to keep up on stuff I want to sell.
