Hey Ladies

Pretty new to Scrapjazz Forum. I saw Redquirrels' Challenge! So I am giving it a try.

What do you do while scrapbooking?! Listen to music, your kids screaming in the background, watch tv or movies!? Or even laundry?

I watch tv, and movies most of the time. I like watching shows and movies I have seen a million times. So, then I am not watching that over scrapbooking. It is great just to get my eyes off a page I am working on. I even do laundry. Cause who loves doing laundry? I for sure don't. Sometimes, I even listen to music. Just to change things up.

My scraproom is in the basement, so a lot of times I'm doing laundry while scrapping. Once in awhile I'll grab some supplies and scrap in the living room while watching TV. Usually I like the peace and quiet in my room downstairs though.

I guess, cause I don't have kids. I like to have something in the background. I don't have a room yet for my scrapbook stuff. (Hoping I will have a room when we move to a different place) So, I scrapbook in the living room in the basement.

Good thread!

No kids here either Jenny. I listen to classical music on the radio. I haven't met anyone else who listens to classical.

I have a craft corner next to DH's office corner, and he recently set up a second monitor which doubles as a TV. So now I can have the free channels playing while I scrap too now. That is, as long as the birds keep off the aerial. I've been covetously watching a Spellbinders demo on the Create'n'Craft channel, and a pair of gulls have landed on the aerial and started to make new baby gulls - and my picture disappeared entirely.

I was pretty shocked to even see any one reply. Since, I am so new to forums But glad you ladies are.

That is pretty cool that now you have a second monitor to watch TV. Ahh that stinks about the birds and the sea-gulls Hope they hatch and go away soon for you.

Nope no Classical here, while scrapbooking. But I do listen to some Newer Age Classical style when I am in the mood for it. Pretty Unique way for scrapbooking I would have to say

I listen to music, just the random shuffle on an older ipod, skipping songs I'm not in the mood for or I listen to TV.

Music. If I don't need to concentrate, the DVR, so I can pause as needed and skip all the commercials!

When I first started scrapping quite a few years ago I started in the basement and would only listen to the radio, then I started getting CD's and would listen to either gospel or Country. I knew every word to the songs on those cd's. Then I saved up and bought myself a 19 inch TV and had hubby hook up a cable line, my favorite shows to watch while scrapping was Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons or Home improvement shows. Then my scraproom moved upstairs and someone broke my TV, never figured out who.

I then had to move back to the basement and by then I was addicted to Youtube and would take my computer downstairs. I now have a 32 inch TV attached to the wall downstairs so sometimes I watch TV or still Youtube, it just depends.

That is a lot of moving for a scrapbook room. But glad you have a much larger tv. I have my computer to the left of me and my tv to the right. (Its just a funny layout of the basement.)

Man those are some pretty good shows you watch. If the boyfriend is watching tv, I am stuck watching what he wants too. But its usually something good.

That stinks about the tv. I am sure one day you will figure out who it was.

He has loved to stamp since he was about two. He is better at it than me. Straight down, straight up, clear crisp images.

I usually listen to music or have the TV on. I very seldom watch a movie because I'm one that would stop and concentrate on the movie rather than the project I'm working on. At least music you can listen to and not have to pay attention....

DirecTV's on demand will sometimes force me into commercials. Beyond irritating!

For me, it's mostly 50s, 60s, 70s music. Mellow classic rock.
