It's wet, grey, chilly and blowin' a 'ooligan outside today. And I woke up with a cold. Boo. I've taken aconite, but I suspect I haven't caught it quickly enough. I'll see how it progresses. I'm supposed to have choir practise tonight but I won't go if I'm all explosive and infectious!

What's on your agenda today?

Raining here this morning. Changes my plans, I'll probably stay in and clean or scrap. Not sure if Zachary's outdoor activities will be on or not.

Abby woke up this morning with a stuffy nose. I'm hoping it's just allergies. It was really bothering her. She doesn't like to 'sound funny' when she talks. lol

Same as the past few days:

laundry
organizing garage sale stuff
workout
call around about windshield replacement
might make a run to the Goodwill donation box
thinking about burgers for dinner, so I would have to run by the store for ground bison or beef

Today is a sad sad day... My dad had to put his dog down of 13 years. I knew last night that he was going to do it today. Buddy has not been well for a little while now. The hard part is I have to tell his best friend that he is gone. Jack is going to be so heart broken. I sent him to school with a smiling face only to know that I have to tell him the sad news after school. I can't drag it on and he needs to know.

other then that it is laundry and baking today. Tonight I have physio and we have pictures at church for the photo directory. Home for bed, tidying up and making sure the car is cleaned out.

It's going to be a HOT day in Spring. I have already baked a cake and muffins & gave the dog a bath. I am going to give him a haircut when he is dry. I need to clean the kitchen counters and run the sweeper. The bathroom needs cleaned again too. I would love to work outside some more, but don't want to get all hot and sweaty and smelly (not BO smelly, just being outside makes you smell bad, IMO)

Have been at the doctor in the morning to get my blood taken. After that I did some cleaning and ironing.
Nothing spectacular over here. When Siegy comes home in about an hour we might take a walk or go geocaching ,because the weather is just beautiful today. Sunny and warm.

Normal day for me. Additional items after work:

Interview a possible new salesperson at 5:15
Laundry
Pack kids for their dads
Work on wedding vases
Pack for a night away with Chris
Print more pictures for the board
Print pictures for an additional photo collage for the wedding. It's for family members we wish were there - my grandma, his grandma, mom and brother.

It's Gramma day for me. Rory will be here in a few minutes. Think we will go and get his mommy a Mother's Day gift.

While he is napping I will do the ironing, and finish folding the laundry.

Need to call & make reservations for next weeks trip to Chris' graduation. Looking forward to seeing him.

My brother called yesterday & wants to know if we should do a memorial service for dad. I said yes, it's been almost a year and his wife hasn't asked for us help her plan anything yet. So we will plan a small (maybe graveside) service and invite her. Need to call the pastor and see what he suggests we should do.

Do you mean "blowin' a 'ooligan"? That's west-country-speak for "very windy". I love my husband's turns of phrase.

to Jack, Sarah. That's a tough lesson for a little boy to learn.

I think I might have told him before so he had a chance to say goodbye to him. I think losing a pet is a good? gradual? way of explaining life and death to children. It definitely hurts. I remember the day that my mom told us our cat had died, but it could be the way she went about it that I remember the most. Not good.

I wish we had of had that chance. I received a phone call at almost 10:00 last night that the dog was not well and they were taking him in first thing. Dad called this morning and it was all over with by 8 am. I would rather Jack remember Buddy in the condition that he saw him in on Friday then the way he was last night/this morning.

That's to bad Sarah. I didn't realize it was a sudden decision. I thought maybe your dad had been considering it for awhile and decided it was time.
