What did you get for Christmas (not necessarily scrap-related) that you are only just now finding time to investigate and play with?

I got a recipe book that I've been reading and getting all excited about trying out.

Tonight we're going to watch Despicable Me 2 on the Blu-ray DVD that DH got from our niece and nephew. There is also a DVD in with the TSO CD that I got for him, that he really wants to watch.

I got a fitbit for Christmas. I've been wearing it for a week to see how many steps I would normally get with every day use. Sad to say, when I am at home, I wouldn't get 2000 in a day. Work days I'd double that. So now to find a place to walk that won't cost me money (LOL) which when I walked the mall on Monday, it did.

My goal isn't to shoot for the full 10,000 but at least double what I get now.

I got a fitbit too, and while I haven't set up all the functions yet it's thankfully so easy that I was able to get it going pretty quickly.

I agree, Karen, puttering around the house doesn't cut it. I find I need a walking "event" each day - a walk around the neighborhood, the treadmill, or a shopping trip with lots of walking.

I didn't get anything else that needed figuring out this year. I do need to go clothes shopping with my gift cards, not sure if I can talk myself into that today or not...

Nothing really yet. I got a tablet but have been on it only once. Hubby got me a steam mop and I used it the other day.

I got nothing scrap related this year for some reason.

I was finally able to look at a cookbook I received - one of those fix and freeze type. The recipes look delicious but I will probably never fix any because no one else in the house will like them

...

Jennifer, have you hooked up with anyone on the fitbit?? Several of my bros/sisters have one but they are too competitive for me to want to hook up with them. If you want someone to cheer you on and give you some motivation (read: I might need someone in return LOL) let me know and maybe we can figure out how to connect.

Absolutely! I have no idea how to do it though -- I will PM you my email address as I think (?) that's my account name.

Sent you an invitation -- let's see if we can figure out how this works.

Between all of the company we've had, traveling to my moms & hosting New Years.... I've not even had time to put our gifts away! They are still piled on the dining room table for the most part, although I did haul the new clothes downstairs to be washed.

Don't think there's anything I/we need to figure out though. The fitbit sounds cool, I saw them discussing it on the Today Show recently. Karen & Jennifer, let us know if ya get connected

I got a laptop computer, but haven't had time to find my way around it yet. I do want to add a few scrapbook related things to it, like Cricut craft room for one.

Well, I got an apron and two kitchen towels, but I haven't even STARTED to figure out how to use them!

Beth Ann!

I don't think my brother has worked out which is the kitchen hand towel and which is the one for the dishes, judging by the dirty hand prints on my clean tea towel after he left. It must be him, DH is pretty kitchen-trained.

We watched both the TSO DVD and Despicable Me 2 yesterday. Gotta love the minions!

We are Jewish so we don't celebrate Christmas. Usually we give gifts on Hanukkah but this year it was on Thanksgiving and we were in Paris. Since mostly the kids just want soccer Jerseys, they got French ones while we were there. Turns out there is a PSG store on the Champs Elysee and Marseille jerseys can be acquired at the Adidas store directly across the street. Yes - designer French shopping for boys. They got a few other things after we got home. But, I digress. The bottom line is that my husband and I got each other nothing for Hanukkah this year. My mother-in-law got me a dishtowel and I got a $5 gift card to dunkin donuts, and I think those are the only holiday gifts I got this year. Now I have a birthday coming up soon, and milestone one too, and my husband is in a panic about getting me some gifts. He was planning to sneak off and get my gift in Thailand, but we never separated in the markets and there wasn't anything good to buy in the hotels. I'm not complaining, I got plenty of silk scarves and handcrafts in the markets there for almost nothing, but I chose them myself and he can't give them to me as gifts.
So, he is in a panic about this - I told him that I need socks - both running socks and regular socks and where to get each type.

Not exactly an answer to the question, but there is really nothing to figure out. I already know how to use the dishtowel, probably the same way I use the dishtowels she got me other years.
