This is weird isn't it? It's Monday, yet nothing is back to normal. DH is still off work, the tree is still up but my church work continues and it's going to be a mammoth task today after all the Christmas services.

What is on your list for the day?

Headed to work.

My tree (& everything else) is still up, too. It's driving me crazy. Tomorrow it comes down, but today I have to work.

I'm off work today, I just love having split days off from work, not! but I can deal with it this week since we still have to get through the New Years Eve party & then New Years Day breakfast buffet.

Things to do today: take down Christmas, finish shopping for my great niece Katie's birthday party on Saturday. Put together the party favor bags, make sure I have everything needed for party games, and send my niece a shopping list for healthy party snacks.

I am still off and don't want things to be back to normal!! Then that means I have to go back to work-and I am NOT looking forward to that!! This time has gone too fast.

I have to write an article today, go to the gym this afternoon (don't like the crowds in the morning and trying to get into a routine-once work starts will be going in the afternoon anyway.) and then I will start to take the tree down. I didn't put many things up this year so tearing them down won't be too hard.

Britt went to see her dad & Jav is working from here via laptop, so I have baby J (bummer, right?) LOL

Will do numerous loads of laundry & unpack a bit today. Going to try to undecorate the tree so that Mark can get it out tomorrow. He has to make a short roadtrip for work but that won't take long.

We may go bowling tonight... or may just stay home

I already took our indoor Christmas decorations down. Since we put them up at the beginning of December we're always ready for them to be put away right after Christmas.

I have one load of laundry left, need to clean the basement bathroom, clean the kitchen, and go through the garage sale stuff in the basement. I keep putting the garage sale stuff off. lol

I would rather go to the gym and scrap. Maybe I'll just do that for myself today. We'll see.

Was supposed to go to work today. DH was up sick all night, but thought he was better and we were going to carpool today. I got downstairs to find him ill again. So he called in sick. I then decided I didn't feel well either and probably shouldn't drive into the office (45 mins away) if I'm going to be ill, too. I'm definitely not as sick as him (yet) but I'm not right either.

Trying to get some critical things done remoted in, but my connection keeps crashing...it's still a Monday, LOL!

Had today off. Took advantage and ran some errands. Planned on only walking the mall for some exercise, but darn -- need to do that when the stores are closed I guess. Hickory Farms was 75% off today so I picked up some goodies I'll give away as gifts and then found some decent tanks to wear under sweaters. We won't talk about the crocs, slippers and misc scrapping stuff I bought on clearance.

The best part of the day happened when I stopped in at the Weight Watchers center to do my weekly weigh-in. I managed to lose nearly 3# since last Monday -- including over Christmas!! The receptionist was shocked as she's been weighing in people all week who were showing gains, not losses. She wanted to know how I managed it. I have now successfully lost just shy of 24# in a little less than 3 months.

WTG, Karen!

We keep our stuff up through New Year. It usually comes down the weekend after thereabout. Though last year I decided it wasn't going to be me doing the work so it was up til about March I think.

Yay for you Karen! I lost a couple of lbs over Christmas too - no idea why. Lots of healthy food with Mum and bro with us I suppose, even with all the chocolate.

Our Christmas decs stay up until 12th night as usual. I love, love, love the Christmas lights. Taking those down is always my least favourite part of the end of Christmas. I would keep them up all year if I could.

Congrats Karen!!!!

I had some blood drawn early this morning and ran some errands while I was out. Came home and took a nap - I was tired, lol. Now I'm just working on laundry.

* I must be tired - I thought today was still Monday, lol!
