And we're back on track again!

From the last few days' threads:
Thinking of you all, Jen.
Stephanie, what did they do with your knee? How are you doing today?
Sarah and Vivi - feel better soon.
Amanda - poor doggie. Are you giving him PT?
Marta - a happy birthday to your DD! That's Katherine, right? Did she have fun?
Sabrina - how often do you go to church? I only go on Sundays or if there are events, obviously coming up to Christmas there will be plenty going on.

Today I'm scrapping, designing an advert for the parish magazine and ironing. Choir practice tonight. DH gets back from Norway late tonight too.

What's going on with you today?

Rosey, I had a menial (or is it medial?) meniscus tear & some arthritis in my left knee. It had been achy for months & I'd ignored it as long as I could. He did arthroscopy to repair that. Sadly by the time I came to, the doc was into another lengthier surgery, so we didn't get feedback on my procedure. Same dr. did Mark's cartilage removal a few months ago though, so we trust him & I'm familiar with the terminology & follow up care It feels fine this morning, and that is without the aid of pain meds since 2 yesterday afternoon.

Today: I will finish packing a bag for my KC trip - and go in for physical therapy at 1:00. Am anxious to have the bulky bandages removed & see how it looks.

I just looked up arthroscopy. It's fascinating what they can do with keyhole surgery, isn't it? You'll hardly even have much scarring. Glad you're OK today, but even if it feels fine, you take it easy sweetie - we know what you're like!

I just stabbed my thumb with a pair of sharp scissors. Ouch, ouch. And quite a bit of claret leaking out. The price we pay for our art...

Oh no - a craft wound! Will you still be able to create beautiful things with an owie?

Yes Rosey, it is amazing what they can do in such tiny openings & with rapid recovery! I will take it easy, prop it up & ice it as instructed

Good! We'll be check on you and nagging!

Pfft. A plaster on my thumb isn't going to stop me crafting.

I've been making candles: 1 large and 2 small purple ones, one butterscotch-coloured in a glass (and a bunch of tea-lights with the leftovers), 2 green ones in a glass and a flower-pot, 1 more in a mould and a stripy one in another glass from the leftover wax. No photos, they aren't cooled or finished yet.

The stab wound was from trying to clean wax off old candle wick holders. Silly girl.

The mould might work as a gift, but the others are just using up old wax. They aren't cooling very neatly so I expect we'll use them up ourselves.

today is only day 3 of antibiotics, still hurts to swallow but not as bad as it did on Monday/Tuesday. Hopefully I don't get too worn out working today.
Going to take it easy as much as I can. Leftover soup for supper from friends last night so that's one less worry.
I need to find someone who can help me move brush and huge pieces of the tree on Saturday. the snow is coming and there's a storm brewing for next week, so I need my yard cleaned up otherwise it will be too dangerous for the kids to play out front this winter.

We're heading to sports cuts today to watch a bunch of officers get their heads shaved to support Phil. They've also been growing mustaches. That is Phil's look. TV crews will be there too.

My coughing is so bad I end up throwing up. This year I've been sick more than I have ever been. Same for my girls. We never used to get sick. Greg helps me not at all and I feel like a wet noodle LOL

Today I am babysitting just one, she's napping right now. Working on laundry as well. Just watched the Robertson's Testimony (Duck Dynasty) and it was so great. I have my annual doctor appointment this afternoon and am a nervous wreck.

Rosey to answer your question about my church habits, I go Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening. I have a lot of responsibilities in the church including leading the service on Sunday mornings. I have seen your posts about church work and Sara's and was going to ask once about them but never did

I organize the children's programs during the church service on Sunday mornings, right now I'm pretty much teaching every week as well because I just don't have enough people willing to jump on board and help. Hopefully that will change soon. I also organize the nursery for both services and thankfully I have an ok amount of people to help out with those.
I am at church Sunday mornings, Tuesday nights to help with the kids programs and usually a few Mondays a month to go to meetings.

hubby also helps out in many other areas. So one of us is usually out at least once a week if not more for church stuff.

add to my list of things I am doing: Working on my menu from now until the end of December. Phew! I won't have it all filled out but have some ideas and can switch things around if need be.

Lots of responsibilities here too, but only Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings are scheduled. And most Monday mornings. The rest of the time is whenever I want to fit it in, or at other people's convenience.
