Tidying up the house this morning. Kicking on the garage heat at noon. Getting the fire pit ready & taking plates, napkins, etc. out.... Mallory coming to start my make-up and tattoos at 1:00. Party ready by 3 (hopefully) with guests arriving around 5.

I cleaned the bathroom, Chris and I went to breakfast and to Kohl's, I am now doing laundry and will be running out to get a GC for my friend's husband's birthday.

Tonight Chris and I are going to a party. A ton of my friends will be there so it will be fun to see everyone.

We have a social worker coming to take a look and verify that my husband actually needs me to help him perform instrumental activities of daily living so we can get compensation for it. AND I am going to play with paper and then tonight I will be having a halloween movie night with friends at our place =D

DS was at an airsoft lock-in and it ended at 6AM . Like a dummy I agreed to be the pick up parent, forgetting that DH would still be at work and I'd have to wake DD & take her with me. The two friends with him were such polite young men though, it was really refreshing to see he's still hanging around with decent kids. The teenage years are so scary to me.

Then there was a school event at Costco for DD's elementary school This afternoon is a party at a neighbor's followed by a hockey game for DS. Busy day, but should be a good one (provided I get a nap in at some point LOL!)

So far today I've done two loads of laundry, put the finishing touches on our costumes, straightened up the house, just finished cooking a late lunch. Now it's time to start getting ready for the fall festival!

I have been working since 8 a.m. this morning and finally showered at 8:45 p.m. I am sooooooooooooo tired but our bedroom looks amazing. We took up the old carpet & padding (which fell apart). Put down laminate. Have about 85% of the trim around the room, hubby built a new door jam for the doorway into the bathroom off our bedroom. Trimmed the main door and bathroom door.

Tomorrow we have to build a new closet door jam and put in new closet doors, trim that and finish the trim that is close to the closet.

I can't believe how different it looks and hubby keeps saying it does not even look like our bedroom. Alexandria said it's comforting. I just wanted a room which looked like it came from a magazine

Cleaned this morning, ran out for some errands this afternoon. MIL, FIL and SIL all decided to let us know they were in town and stopping by, about 20 minutes before actually coming...typical for them. Visited with them in the afternoon a bit and then we went out for Chinese for supper. Dh, Ben and I stopped at M's on our way home so I could get a few things with some birthday gift cards I had from the inlaws. Walked the dogs while dh bathed Ben - he had his snack and some snuggles and now is in bed. Going to do a few things online and then maybe scrap or organize some of my new things. Have a friend from out of town stopping in for a visit tomorrow am.

Today was predicted to be one of the worst days of Phil's treatment, but here we are still up at 11:32. No nausea, not tired, no mouth sores, just hanging out and winding down.

We've had company all day. His parents, our dd's, his sister and her husband spent the afternoon with us. Then we all went to Weber Grill for dinner. They visited a bit again with Phil and left.

Then we had another visitor. She works at the bank that Phil works security for, plus her dh is a police officer at the same PD. She wanted to bring a gift from the 'bank family.' She stayed for an hour.

Then we talked with one of the nurses for an hour or so. We realized she's from Lawrenceburg, which is where Phil goes for a lot of his K9 training classes. We talked about all of the local places and restaurants we have been to.

We've had so many coincidences lately it's been weird. I really should write them all down. Our neighbor here at the center (70yo man fighting AML) is from the small little town of Bicknell, Indiana where Phil's parents grew up.

That all sounds good Jen.

We have a storm forecast for tonight, a nasty one. High winds of up to 80mph and lots of rain across the southern half of the country. It's been pretty windy and squally for days now, but I guess we'll have to go out today and put away anything that might get blown about. Exciting!

I'm so glad that Phil was able to enjoy all the company Jen!!

Yesterday was fun - we spent the day at the State Cross Country meet, cheering on all the kids from around the state. We have the fastest boy in the country in Paul's division and he is absolutely phenomenal to watch! He shattered the state record. Paul was next to him at the start and was able to hold with him for the first half mile. Paul continued to run with the lead pack for 2 more miles and then....but we are so proud of him. He was seeded 52 and finished 40th, so not too shabby!! He is now super motivated to train extra hard for the national regionals in Phoenix next month and try to run a sub 16 minute.

Today, watch Cowboys game then off to the pumpkin patch
