the sun is shining again!

trying to keep the 2 kids busy. Yesterday was an off day for me, I couldn't keep food in me but today seems to be better. Now to get my energy back.
I need to clean the kitchen it has been left too long. 1 load of dishes done.

both kids will be having a rest here soon and I'll be getting some church work done.

After school we'll play inside for a bit. maybe get a card ready for the kids parents as it's their anniversary.
might do a movie and then outside. as soon as the kids leave J and I have to bike up to the church so I can show a dvd to some leaders. Then it's home to do supper and chill. Might try to pile some wood.

Trying to not lose my mind today.

Hoping to get 2 kids down for a nap in the next hour.

I am hoping to catch up on some of my TV shows today since hubby went to work.

Have to figure out what's for dinner.

No soccer this evening which I am thankful for.

What a day so far!

I must have turned my alarm off this morning instead of hitting snooze. Poor Abby had about 20 minutes to get ready. She was fine with it, and still ended up having time to play with the kitties a bit before the bus came.

Then Camy thought it would be fun to lift Monie up and let her bat at the fly paper. Only, she got the fly paper down and it stuck to her. All the way down her side and tail. What a sticky mess. FYI, skip everything else and start with oil. Monie was so good. She tolerated 3 little baths and an oil rub down without showing her claws. I even got some kisses. She did growl and hiss at me once while I was pulling on her tail (a little to rough I guess.) 2 hours later, I think most of the stickiness is gone. I'll take another look once she's dry. Callie's helping her groom herself now, so sweet.

My plans for the rest of the day...
dishes
gym
clean
laundry
pick Lilly up from soccer
dinner
go visit my mom

I'm off work today. We were supposed to go camping this weekend, but the government shut down cancelled that

So instead, I'm going to the A's/Detroit playoff game tonight. We are going to tailgate ahead of time, so I need to go to the store. My roommate is off today too, so if she wakes up early enough, I hope we can go to breakfast. I've been awake since 5:30. Stupid internal clock!

A snowy day here

I need to speed clean while M is at half day and then help set up the Book Fair.

I need to iron up all the kids clothes for Homecoming tomorrow - we are still letting Paul go because he had already asked a girl to the dance and since it is her senior year, we didn't want to ruin her last Homecoming

We are supposed to have a parade this afternoon, though I am really hoping they cancel it - it is soooo cold! However, if they don't, Maryann and I will brave the weather, big brother David has to walk in it - plus she has her trusty Halloween bucket ready to grab candy, lol. With this weather, she may be the only kid there and score big!!!

Yikes Jen that doesn't sound like a fun cleanup! Glad the kitty was ok with it all though!

My last day of maternity leave today. Kinda sad! I start back to work on Monday. Ben is at daycare again for his last practice day although I will pick him up early. Stopped at the store for flour on my way home from dropping him off for flour. Got bananas to use up. Have my third batch of mini banana chocolate chip muffins in the oven and one more waiting. Laundry started too. There is other cleaning to do but I will leave it and enjoy my last day!

Dh is taking me to lunch so I will drop off some muffins for his work. After that will stop for gas, hairspray and maybe go check out albums at michaels. Still haven't decided what to use since creative memories is no more.

Hopefully scrap before picking up Ben and then tonight I am going to a pampered chef party one of my good friends is having.

I was up early cleaning the house, then church work. Now DH is home, the church work is done, the house is clean and we can relax. The sun came out this afternoon for a couple of hours too. It's so nice to see it again after what feels like weeks of grey, damp, dreary clouds.

It's my busy weekend of the month, with the crop tomorrow (I've done no preparation whatsoever), serving in church on Sunday, plus it's the Harvest Festival so it will be busy, and we're going to a choir get-together afterwards. Not to mention my dear aunt is paying a visit. Her timing is as impeccable as always.

Gotta root for the Tiger's!!

Can you tell what side of the country we both are on??

Amanda -- that banana bread sounds good. I usually throw the ripe banana's away as I don't have a good recipe. Care to share??

Worked this morning, but should have called out sick. Definitely calling out sick for tomorrow. Totally drained of energy. Everything I had planned to do this afternoon is cancelled, going back to bed. I hate being sick!

Definitely I will share! I have tried a variety of recipes. This is the one I have been using lately since it is for mini or regular sized muffins and it is pretty tasty!

Karen you can freeze the too ripe banana's and take them out when your ready to use them. Works just fine and actually it's easier to mash them up.

I got the lazies. Just sitting in bed while we watch Caliou... I love Fridays because the girls and I totally relax after school. Dinner was healthy but a mish mash of things in the fridge. Mainly salad and spinach pie. Love it!

I have frozen bananas in the past both in the skin and without the skin. I know to get past the 'black' of the banana when you pull it out, but when it thaws, it is very liquidy...since I'm not sure if that is 'normal', I quit freezing them as I was throwing them away afterwards.
