We desperately need a new couch. If I could I would go buy a new couch and chair in a moment.

I need new stools for the counter and a new couch for the family room. There is never time to go and get it...

We had a couch that had 2 recliners on each end, hubby's side ended up having the springs mess up and then one came up thru the cloth and started poking him. When I realized that I decided to go buy him a chair. We had discussed previously about just getting each of us recliners so when something happened to one we could just replace the one. So I surprised him and bought him a leather recliner at Wal-Mart. I put a sign on my mail box that said "FREE couch" and it was gone in 24 hours. I am sitting in a rocking chair that was given to me when I was pregnant with dd#2. It does not match, but I have been waiting and waiting till we have the extra money to go and buy myself a matching recliner. I would love to get a leather couch for living room too, but the dog lays on it and we will probably bring the cats back in for the winter and they were on the couch all last winter so I probably won't.

I actually prefer old furniture in good shape.

Our furniture is fairly new. I'm thinking we'll replace our couches in a couple of years. We just got barstools for the kitchen.

Eventually I would like to have built in bench seating in our dining room with pull out drawers. We would have to lower our dining set (counter height) though, or buy a new set.

I desperately need a new bed! I've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for about three years.

Back at the start of the year we purchased 2 sets of couches/chairs - our cats had literally torn the old ones to shreds. It has been my life's mission to stop them from destroying the new ones. So far they are winning If it wasn't so inhumane, I would have them declawed in a heartbeat!!

I would love, love, love a new kitchen table and chairs, but that just isn't in the budget. The set we have now is just too big for the space. I had also wanted to get Maryann a pretty big girl bed but that wasn't in the budget either, but luckily she was more than happy to put Paul's old captains's bed in her room

Our upstairs living room furniture is fairly new. We bought it when we moved here in 2010 and put our old stuff in the basement. It will do for a few more years down there too. We've had our dining table and chairs for several years and while I love the chairs I am ready for a new table. Ours is glass and its a pain to keep streak free!

Sabrina do you have a big or little dog? We specifically picked leather for upstairs because the dogs lay on it and it is way easier to keep clean than having other material that you have to vacuum all the time. That being said though our dogs are big and have dull nails. I know some small breads have sharper nails so that wouldn't work. And I guess not great with the cats either!

Like Tam, I prefer our furniture to be old. They don't make things like they used to!

our couch and chair was given to us. the couch every time we sit on it cracks and makes awful noises, I'm just waiting for the day it falls apart.. yikes! the cushions are all coming apart and the material is all ripping on it. it doesn't look very pretty anymore, but for now it works.

Amanda,

I have a Yorkie and he does not like his nails cut at all so they are always sharp. Plus with the cat's, yeah that would not be good

We just bought a new couch. Have had and replaced with one with recliners on both ends. Figured we should just get recliners, but every so often we need the full advantage of a couch. Had a microfiber one and swore never to have again. Cannot clean it and the oils/grease from the hands/hair over 9 years ruined it. The recliners worked just fine and it was a shame it had to go -- but looks dictated it. Bought a leather one. Like it except on those mornings where it is a bit chilly in the house!! Brrrrrr!!

A new bedroom set!! We got ours when we moved in to our house and it was nice then. However, it has been moved around so much that there are nicks here and there. I would also like it to be a different color.
