1st week WI was last night. I was down 5.4 pounds!!

Yes, I know week one is mostly water weight, but hey -- that is 5# less on the scale than was there last week!!

I'm not saying I've got the program 100% settled into my little pea brain, but I did manage it okay. Problem I had was I was trying to focus on eating little meat and going big with the veggies and fruits. Most veggies and all fruits are point free on the weight watchers program so I didn't hit the number of points I was supposed to hit every day.

Was frowned upon by my leader and since I am familiar with this program, can see her point. I want to be able to eat as much as possible and lose, not have my body get used to eating a smidgen and then having to eat that way for the rest of my days...but when you aren't hungry, what are you supposed to do!?! LOL

I'm back on the WW wagon again too. Went so well last year....then fell off. Back to square one.

I need to lose weight before we go away....and to gain fitness for all the walking we are going to be doing.

I only have small goals..... 10 - 15 lb at a time. I know I have like 60 to lose in total.....but ......baby steps.

You can so do it, Sharon!! 10-15# at a time is a perfect goal. Every # off will help make that trip so awesome!!

Last week the scale showed me up .2 and the leader said she was going to call it a Maintain. I WI tonight, but do not see a loss at home so don't think there will be one on their scale tonight.

Getting frustrated even though it has only been 3 weeks. Need to start incorporating some "E" in there somewhere -- just need to find the 'where'. Sigh.

But Karen you had a big loss the first week, so average that out over the 3 weeks and you're still down over 1lb per week. That's a realistic loss. Try replacing dairy and wheat(including pasta) with rice and soy milk, and and see if that helps?

I'm 2lb down from this cold. Not my favourite way of losing, but I'm going to try and keep it off. My jeans are much more comfortable now. One pair I'm going to have to start wearing a belt.

Thanks Rosey, I was down .6 today so I felt better about that. Not a huge loss, but when you are in your early 50's and menopausal, that can affect how quickly you lose.

Interesting thought on the dairy and wheat. Will have to look and see how much I get of it -- as I don't eat much bread and only drink 8 oz of skim (ff) milk daily. Will play around with it and see where it gets me.

Congrats to you for losing -- I doubt if it was all the result of being sick, as it would take more than that for the fit of clothes to be effected. Good job!!
