downtown Ft. Worth is awesome. Very friendly, lots of restaurants and bars. You also have the Stockyards, a great place for out-of-towners to visit and my personal favorite mexican restaurant - Joe T. Garcias. Great food and beautiful grounds.

at Kimmy & Beth Ann .... silly girls!

Nope Jen, that's not my surprise trip. When we got married at my brothers last year, we wanted to express our gratitude with something special. Randy has always been a huge Dallas Cowboys fan - so we decided to take him to a game there! He's seen the Cowboys play in Chicago, but seeing this huge new stadium & them playing at home will be awesome for him. Just so happens Mark looked at the schedule and chose Nov. 3 which is when they play the Vikings (Mark's team) It worked for Randy.... so that's when we're going.

Trying to decide now, where to stay. A friend I went to grade school with (then he moved away) lives there & asked to meet us for dinner one night. So I asked his suggestion and he explained where Arlington (the stadium) is located in relation to Dallas & Ft. Worth.

Marta, he described Ft. Worth much like you did. Said if we wanted to see "real" cowboys, that's where you'll see em. I'm sure Dallas has lots to see as well, but FW is sounding a little more up our alley. We plan on arriving late that Friday, sightseeing Sat/Sat night, then the game is noon on Sunday, come home Monday. I've never been to TX. My brother has only been in the airport; and Mark went as a kid but doesn't remember it.

Should be fun!

How fun!!! My kids did a tour of the stadium with their grandparents and had a blast!

When I was young, we always gravitated toward Dallas - my mom worked at Parkland Hospital (where JFK was taken). However I much prefer Ft. Worth now
