About a month ago I checked out 11/22/63, by Stephen King from the library. I've read a little over 100 pages (850 page book). I like it, but I haven't had a lot of time to read. I'll have to renew it this week.

What are you reading?

I just finished a bunch of books I got free on my Kindle for our plane trip -- about 50% success (ie, 1/2 were crap) -- so I haven't read anything this week. Will probably start a few new ones this weekend.

I'm reading "Flowers in The Attic" by Virginia Andrews again. One of my favourite ever books. I never get bored of re-reading it. I hear they are also in the process of remaking the movie (the on in the 1980's was shocking so hope the new one will be better!)

Right now I am reading "The Hypnotist's Love Story" for an on-line book club. It's pretty good - different from the legal mystery type I usually read.

Before that - "The Birth House"

and before that - "Defending Jacob"

I read a lot!

Did you read the series? My mom didn't preread the books I read, just let me read whatever was my level. I read the series in jr high.... I don't blame my mom, I was kid 2/5 at that time and her first reader. I can't imagine her trying to keep up with my reading. I can't keep up with Jenna's.

Well, I'm disappointed to say I just finished my first book this YEAR of actual reading (I've listened to audio books). "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. It was really good. I finished it in less than 24 hours.

I read Flowers in the Attic in Jr.High too. That's the type of book that you don't forget.

I'll have to add some of these to my 'to read' list. The last book I read was Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. I read it in just a few days.

I did read the series - after the third one though they started to get a bit lame I think! I read it in high school about age 13/14 I think, I cried when I read it, it was so captivating. Every time I re-read it I find some other kind of meaning in the book!

I remember that book too and probably still have it! It was WOW! at the time. I had forgotten the movie too. My friend and I saw it. Two other books I remember standing out are: Are You There God? It's Me Mary-Margaret (I think is the name) and 16 (or was it 18?) Is Too Young To Die. The first one was really something to read at that time, but I'm not sure why I remember the 2nd one. Something makes me think you had to have a parent OK to check it out. I'm reading Low Pressure by Sandra Brown.

Going "retro". Just finished 'Little Women' and 'Jo's Boys'. 'Little Men' is next.

I just started reading "Enders Game" by Orson Scott Card yesterday.

I remember "Flowers in the Attic." Very disturbing book! And I cannot remember if my mother knew I was reading it or not. Both my parents were avid readers and I used to sneak their books upstairs when I was in Jr High and HS. Some of them were pretty racy!!
