I'm thinking about writing articles on photography again. What are some things you'd like to see covered/explained/discuss ed?

Hi Maegan, welcome back!

I used to have (still have actually) an SLR and used to know how to use the aperture/shutter speed/manual focus/ISO but it is so long since I used it that I've forgotten it all. I'm strictly a compact girl now.

I would love to know how to get/simulate "proper" SLR effects with a compact camera. For example the short depth of field - can you force the macro setting?

Is it better to use the black and white setting on the camera, or convert it with PSE etc. afterwards?

What is the maximum resolution to aim for, that will print clearly at 8 1/2 x 11" but isn't an unnecessarily big file-size to store on my hard drive?

Sure you still want to write again?

And how have you been? How's the family?

I haven't forgotten ya. I'm going to be getting some 2nd opinions before I give you some tips. Some of it I don't understand it myself.

It is nice to have you back Meagan! How about an article on the different mediums of photo paper?
