Do you buy the pre-washed/bagged stuff? Or buy your own and wash/chop yourself?

Buy my own and cut/chop myself. The bagged stuff, if you don't eat it up in a day or two, starts looking yucky....

it depends, sometimes the grocery store where I live will have bagged stuff on for dirt cheap so if we plan to eat it up quickly we buy that, otherwise we buy the stuff we cut up and get ready ourselves.

I used to buy the bagged stuff all the time and then like Virginia said if you don't use it quickly it gets all horrible. Now I just chop it all and it tastes soooooo much better!!

If I buy salad, it is for an occasion and usually for other people. So I buy the ready bagged sort, use it all and have done with it.

The only kind we ever get that is pre-bagged is coleslaw because we generally don't want a whole cabbage worth of it at once. I don't like how fast it goes bad though and also I like the test of the fresher stuff better.

This. A head of lettuce will keep in the fridge for 7-10 days without looking as bad as the bagged stuff does in 2-3 days after opening.

I always buy romaine and radicchio and wash/cut myself.
