Good morning all!

Well the plasterer has gone, leaving a beautifully smooth wall. Now we have to have everything dried out before the next step, the flooring. Hopefully that will be the end of July.

It's so hot! Yeah, I know, the early 80s isn't hot to most of you folks, but we Brits are simply not used to it. (Actually I'm fine and thoroughly enjoying the sunshine!)

What is your Monday looking like? It's been so quiet on here since the 4th. Are you all still recovering?

Rosey, have fun in the sun! We are having a rainy day here, unfun...

I left my two oldest at my parents' house yesterday so today I get to play mom of an only child LOL I forgot how much easier one is LOL

I have a few things I want to do today. First and formost, workout! I have not worked out since Friday and I feel like a bloated balloon. Then I would like to use my peaches for some sort of desser or cake. Any ideas?

I also want to do some yard work and grill steaks. Oh, I forgot, I want to start a photo book for Bianca's friend of their Summer fun.

Rain, rain, more rain.

If you have not been to see The Heat, go. It's flipping hysterical!

It is presently sunny here and I should be painting because the humidity isn't horrible today. However, we just got back from a long weekend of late nights and I am exhausted. I think I might scrap and do some laundry.

I knew we should have went to see The Heat - dh and I had a date night last night while friends watched Ben for us (he was grumpy for them!). We saw the Lone Ranger and it was pretty horrible we both thought.

This morning Ben had a checkup at the doctor so we went to that and then stopped by my work to visit a bit and so I could set up a meeting with my two bosses to discuss details about me returning to work in October.

Came home and had lunch and now letting Ben crawl around to wear off some energy! Hopefully he will nap soon and I can get some cleaning done. We may take the dogs for a walk depending on what time he naps to. Tonight I am meeting a friend for coffee and dessert.

We went to the HS this morning to drop of Lilly's physical forms, but I guess their summer hours are 8am-noon. We'll have to try again tomorrow before Camy's ortho appt.

After that we went grocery shopping, to Sam's, out for dinner, and then home to put it all away. Fun, fun!

This evening I'm going to catch up on laundry, scrap, and maybe price more garage sale stuff. Taking it all to the donation box is looking more and more appealing.

I went to Zumba and came home to put Lucia down for a nap. I'm baking the galette and now I will go do some laundry. I think we're going for a power walk when Greg gets home.

It funny, just when I was feeling like a blimp I had my old personal trainer stop me on my way to class to tell me just how awesome I look. It really made my day! Nothing like a kind comment to motivate you, right?

It's been showery and rainy here. We have flood warnings again. (I'm on a hill though.)

I got 4 long sleeve oxford shirts (blue/white striped) at JCP for $2 each for me and daughter. Figured I could dye some different colors.

Fun, what colors? Does the color bleed once dyed?

I don't know yet. I know my daughter wants purple. They probably do a little. And you wash in cold.

Very cool. We did a lot of that back in Argentina and always rinsed them in vinegar the first time so that the color would stay.

I've dyed towels with machine-dye before, very successfully. The colour doesn't fade that much quicker than undyed towels. I think the trick is to use the hottest water that the fabric can take when you do the dyeing. Afterwards, I just wash them in with the normal wash.

Yeah - boiling. The shirts are 100% cotton.
