My sil has three female cats that were all pregnant within weeks of each other. Jonesie was from the first litter, and the girls chose another male from the second litter. He's grey. We'll either get him this weekend, or next weekend.

I'm trying to talk them into a different name, but they all agree that his name is going to be Silas 'Si'. (Duck Dynasty fans)

I hope Si is friendly, healthy, and a great fit with your family. Hope he gets along with the pooch, too!

Goodness, is your SIL a breeder?

I'm glad you have another kit picked out for the girls.

No Rosey, they're just irresponsible pet owners.

That's not good. I hope they get them neutered after this.

Unfortunately Rosey this has been going on for years. Before they just had one female cat of their own reproducing every year. Now they have three female cats. It upsets me too.

Jen, do they live in town or in the country??

We live in the country, and I wish we had more female cats. We have 1 female and 2 males. We just had a litter of 2 (actually 3 but one didn't survive)kittens. Last night, one went missing.

When you live in the country, doesn't matter how many cats/kittens you have, eventually they all disappear and you are left with just 1 or 2....

I love the name they pickle out. Some people think I might be a tad bit of a fan of uncle Si!

Our last name starts with an R, so his full name will be Silas Jack R.

There was one year, I think we counted 21 cats/kittens. DH wanted to give some away, and some people were willing to take some. I wouldn't give any up, and eventually, they disappeared one by one.

Out in the country, they take off and never come back. Who knows where they end up?? We've had some that were hit by cars. Some ended up sick and died. We never have them vaccinated, although we should, but are we guaranteed that they will always be around?? Nope...

Survival of the fittest.....

Many times when irresponsible people let their pets breed and breed, they don't take care of any of them. It is really a bad epidemic, and innocent animals suffer and die.

Our kitty (Jonesie) died. We're not sure if he choked or had a seizure. Unfortunately it happened in front of Abby.

Kim, I hope you're not implying that we are irresponsible about our cats!! But it's true, there are a lot of irresponsible pet owners!

Just to assure everyone, we are over-the-top responsible for our cats, to the point where they are actually spoiled!!
