How hard can this be?

All my albums are made by Grant Archival which is an Australian company that also services Singapore. While I was there, I bought packs of page protectors to fit my albums, at something like $25 for a pack of 50, but I've used them all up. Now I'm back in the UK and the cheapest I've found is £3 for 5. I'm not paying a dollar each unless I absolutely have to!

So I'm trying to find cheaper alternatives, but nowhere does it tell me the hole spacing of page protectors. All I can find are comments like "fits albums {insert names here}" none of which are Grant. And I've looked at the Aussie sites at the Grant page protectors, and they only say "fits albums {different names, none of which I have measurements for}". Not helpful.

The holes in the Grant Archival page protectors start at 1 3/4" from the top and the same at the bottom, with a 3rd hole in the middle. They are a little less than 4/16" from the edge. Please could you tell me whether that would fit your albums, and what makes those albums are?

I am no help either - I use the Creative Memories albums because I like how much they expand!

I have some old K & Co page protectors on hand. 2 different ones. One seems like it could fit your requirements. The other one, the area where the holes are, is a little wider. The 1st one, between the "sealed lines" is 9/16 inches, and the other one is 3/4 inches.

I always bought mine here in a craftshop in the next town, they sold albums and page protectors.
They were 8 protectors for 7 euro, but that was fine, because I could go and get them as soon as I needed them. Now they stopped selling them - they still sell the albums
I always work with 4 ring binders, because that's what the albums were. Now I ordered some at an Austrian online shope. They are cheap ( 100 for 29 euros) but only 3 ring ones.
Now I wonder if I could make some holes by myself, if not, I will have to buy new Albums. Not good that I bought 5 old ones lately.

I tend to buy albums ahead when they are on sale and don't always end up with the same brand. I also buy page protectors in bulk. Often I end up with a mis-match. I use a hole punch to make the pages fit the albums.

the ones for 3- ring are a bit longer (side to side) than the ones for post bound.

you can always use a hole-puncher if the holes don't line up exactly, I've done that before.
