Don't come here too often anymore, all for good reasons though. I am working my butt off at a job I love.

I have worked in the school photography field for 8 years now. The company I used to work for went belly up and we were sold to a national company, who then in turn sold us again to yet another national company. After the first sale one of our better photographers left and moved on to other places. Did not hear form him or of him for two years.

A year ago he calls me and tells me he is working for a comapany that does video yearbooks and had recently moved into the school photography side of the business. Small local business, independently owned. With the growing photography side they needed new workers doing what I did for the other company. Who in the meantime decided they didn't need us anymore. So I jumped on the opportunity and it has been the best year of my life working wise.

We are expanding greatly, and a lot of the people who are working for us are from the other company. So its like reuniting with old friends. Last summer my boss had me come into the office to help out and things have been great. I work nearly everyday and he is so flexible. Doesn't care when we work as long as the job gets done in a very timely manner. A few months ino working in the office he asked if I would work every Thursday in office as the woman who runs the office is off that day to watch her grandchildren.

A few months ago he calls me into his office and tells me, "Do me a favor, next pay check give yourself $2 more an hour." ANd then he thanked me. Such a great guy.

Next month we are moving our office to a bigger space so we can set up a studio, much needed. And I am getting my own desk and computer, never had that at a job before. (Small things make me happy, lol) And he asked if I could work more hours. I am going to be manager of the photography department. I will be in charge of scheduling photographers and helpers as well as customer service and whatever else needs to be done. I am beyond excited at this opportunity. Just goes to prove that it pays to be nice to people. If that photographer didn't like me he never would have thought of me to bring me in.

Ok- long story short, just wanted to say hi. lol
