We haven't done much of anything, but that has been my choice. I was so busy on Friday and Saturday that I am exhausted!!

I'm working on a LO.

Stayed in bed late. Was up late last night. Went to see Mary Chapin Carpent and Shawn Colvin - accoustic concert. I really like that. The problem with bands is they tend to have the instruments too loud it's hard to hear the actual singing.

We've had a nice day so far. Ben slept in until 10am! Dh made me eggs, bacon and toast for brunch. Then him and Ben gave me a card they had scrapbooked for me! Dh obviously did the scrapbooking but Ben "signed" the card with his thumbprint. Too cute. They also gave me a gift certificate for a mani/pedi at my favorite place. We went to Ben's swimming lesson and now we are home, dh is doing some more on the deck and Ben is napping. I think I will scrap for awhile. Dh is still deciding whether he's cooking supper or we are going out.

It feels like our typical Sunday, except my dh has to work tonight (overtime.) I did skip the gym today. I'm hoping to organize in my scraproom some more.

The girls surprised me this morning with gifts. My mil took them shopping yesterday.

The boys gave their gifts and then I have just been working outside in the flower beds in the wind, cold and a little sleet.

today was a different day. not quite sure 100% why but I think we were all tired and the rain and clouds were not helping.

The boys gave me gifts this morning.
We had church and then we came home and had lunch. Played some on gaming system and then I had a rest/nap, hubby rested on the couch and J was in between places. We then decided to go out for supper but decided to chinese food and bring it home. It was over 1.5 hour wait so we went to the grocery store and picked up cheesecake and a few things that we needed. Then we visited my grandmother but I found she was very tired from all her visitors today. We finally got supper. Came home, ate. It was so good. The kid is in bed and hubby and I are vegging. I still need to tidy the livingroom but it won't take too long once I set my mind to it.

I had a lovely day, breakfast in bed , 2 bunches of flowers, some pandora beads, DS2 gave me an ipad for Mday & My birthday thats coming soon, DD brought me some perfume, a piggy bank, bubble bath, my DS2's gf that lives with us brought me 2 tin chooks for out in my garden!! I cooked lunch, had a slep in the arve after watching a movie, so all in all I had a spoilt day, but DS1 & his gf spent Mday with Her parents so I guess I have to share now. Happy Mothers Day to you all.

DD got me a breakfast sandwich maker, so I used that to make us 'mcmuffins" for breakfast. It actually works quite well and is pretty easy to use.

DH worked last night so slept all morning. The kids and I went to Church, where I won a $25 Starbucks gift card

Went to Costco and got a new trash can - one of those motion sensor ones and I think I like it. Our old one was a piece of junk, the lid never worked right.

DH & DS took my car and got it detailed. Then DH & I sat by the pool while the kids swam. Then a simple dinner and I've shooed them upstairs to put laundry away so I can make a few cards. I definitely pulled the Mother's Day card to make that happen, LOL!

Due to the super crazy schedule going on here, we are officially celebrating Mother's Day next weekend. However, DD went out and got donuts and surprised me with a dozen roses and a Starbucks gift card. I decided to return the favor and took the kids to lunch at Smashburger. Quite tasty!

It was a very nice day! Had coffee and cinnamon rolls with Mark & got a very sweet card from him. Drove up to 'Miah's (took Zoey with me - to hang out with Hugo!) and it was great to see his place all "settled" and made his own.

We went to lunch at Pizzeria Uno & then to Woodfield (huge) mall. Got him some nicer clothes for internship & job remotes... then to load up on groceries for his apartment. Dropped those off, took the dogs out, then ran to Best Buy for batteries and a laptop screen protector. Stopped at a pub which is walking distance from his back door & had wings before I headed home.

Was again, great to see him happy, healthy, motivated & inspired about his life right now!

hmmm, started crappy, went shitty, then ended ok.

I told my dh that I no longer wish to celebrate Mother's Day since the last three years have basically been repeats.

I am so sorry Amy!! I would just have to start getting myself a gift and doing what I want that day. It is good that you have a nice son to appreciate you.

Love the photo Steph!!

We don't make a big deal out of things. Going to the concert on Saturday is because that's when it was. Would've tried to get tickets even if it was April or June. I did happen to get a card and 2 RAK's in the mail the same day so it ended up being one of the best Mother's Day weekends for me because of those things that happened. Sunday wasn't particularly remarkable.
