Anything fun going on?

Yesterday's church annual general meeting was interesting. I was expecting it to be a bit boring, but we are so lucky with our clergy - they're hoots, all of them. DH was elected as a new Parish Church Councillor.

Today I have a batch of bread to make, some burgers to cook up, laundry and a pile of ironing to do, and if there's time after all that, some scrapping. Tonight is choir practice.

You?

Britt's doing a maternity shoot with the photographer I used to work for (they asked to her be a model) so we're going there at 10 a.m.

Then to my dads for lunch & a visit. From there we'll go to town for groceries & some other errands.

Our pottery isn't ready to pick up until Saturday morning.... I'm dying to see how it turned out!

crawling under the house to see if I can replace a badly leaking outdoor faucet. And hoping I can do it without any problems. I will have to shut off the main water and remove the faucet before I can go to the store for another one.

The usual work day stuff today then the DH is coming to town with a truck load for DS's garage sale tomorrow. We'll have to head over there and unload / set up. Hoping nothing has to come back!!

Biggest news / surprise is that I scrapped last night!! I just plunged right in and got started on DGS1's book. I have pic's printed for this one so it was easiest to start. I'll take a pic soon and show you all.

Give the spiders a headache from me Tam.

Well I ended up doing hardly any of that. Just laundry. I went grocery shopping, bought some stuff that is like Febreze but without the nasties, and treated the sofa.

I replaced the mosquito net on the windows too. It's not mosquito season yet but the baby spiders are starting to hatch and they were getting through the holes in last year's.

I don't know whether you can even get insect netting here. I improvised with Velcro and some wedding veil at about £4 for several yards. It worked great, but it only lasted the year.

My plans for the day are to tackle the laundry mountain, vacuum & mop floors, and finish the baby shower banner. Then if I have any energy left today will be a Costco, Target, and grocery store day.

Stephanie - those pictures are going to be gorgeous!!

Tam - you're my hero, I could NEVER do that! I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about it!

Karen - how awesome! that is what I need to do, just plunge in

Today, lots of housecleaning. I was very successful yesterday with my errands, even scoring a super cute pair of flats for myself for only 4.98! but I was too whooped to clean afterward.

This morning I started writing all the May events on the calendar. Oh my heavens! I knew we were busy, but seeing it all written down - there is no way to do it all. On May 2 alone there are 5 events - 3 of which overlap!!

I've been scrapping lately too. I'm going to try to scrap some today. I want to finish the last April challenge. I can't wait to see your pages.

I picked Camy up from school and we ate lunch with Abby today. Abby is the top banana in her class this week. She gets to do everything first, first in line, bring in some of her favorite things from home, share family photos with the class, the teacher reads her favorite book from home, ect. She's had a great week. Tomorrow she gets to bring home Boom Boom (the stuffed monkey) for the weekend. Her teacher's room theme is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, really cute.

Just the usual afternoon routine and bedtime routine. I'm hoping to scrapbook and finish up laundry. Tomorrow I will clean.

still a while to go before the kids go home. We are attemtping some quiet time we are all pretty much exhausted, me included. Plus all of us are blowing noses like crazy today.

Ben and I went to our exercise class this morning - she worked us hard today! He has popped 2 more teeth so three in total! Still is a pretty happy guy too so that is a bonus! Stopped at Michaels on our way home and picked up some adhesive, black cardstock, 2 Recollections paper packs (they are 40% off) and a couple clear stamps from the dollar bin.

Rest of the day will just be relaxing and doing little things. It is nice out but I have blisters on top of my blisters from my shoes so dh will have to walk the dogs tonight.

Luckily, no runins with spiders. Last night was enough - there was one in my blankets!

Of course, nothing is every easy or works out the first time. I spent alllllll day working on that d@mn faucet, which should've been an easy fix but was having a problem with the connection leaking. Hoping I finally got it right. It seemed okay but will know better tomorrow since I put a towel under it to catch drips and see if it's wet tomorrow before I patch the insulation and everything back up.

Glad it went well, Oscar. The bionic jazzer.

I had a really stressful day at work and then came home to a mess, which is still there. We had air conditioning put in and they need to finish up tomorrow. No use cleaning when I would have to do it again.

I scrapped my page for Scrap Whispers tonight and made a card for the Papertrey Ink challenge today. Now I am going to read and snuggle under my blankets. I am cold!!
