Had a wonderful 3 days, 2 nights in and around beautiful Salisbury getting our brass monkeys frozen off.

This morning we went to Stonehenge and had our faces sand-blasted with snow like grit at 30-35mph - real "snotcicles" territory.

We went back into the city and went on a tour of the tower - 260 ft up 328 steps (the highest the public can go), and 160 ft left to get to the top. A-MAZ-ING. It was snowing up there too.

We've thawed now, just.

Brrr, but I bet the view was breathtaking. 328 steps, wow! Now you don't have to work out the rest of the week, right?

Sounds like you had a great trip. I wouldn't have like all the snow and cold. Glad you had a good time.

I wasn't specific about the dates Virginia, ya have to be a bit careful on the interwebs. Like checking in where you are on Facebook - that just announces to everyone that I'm not home, come burgle me. We only do that if we know someone is in the house.

Sorry Sherri, we took a tour of the cathedral tower. It is the tallest church/cathedral tower in England at 440ft high. We learned all about how they built it, and strengthened it, and maintained it. All that knowledge in the 13th century - it blew my mind.

Wow!! Sounds like you had fun!! We are planning a trip in the summer of 2014 and England is one of our stops. I want Charlotte to see Stonehenge and Bath and London.

I don't tell people we are gone either, Rosey. However, my dh does. I just shrug my shoulders and hope for the best with him around!!

Please let ME know when and where you're coming though Nora - I won't tell anyone, promise! And if we could arrange a meet-up with Georgina, Steph and Kelly that would be awesome!
