Any plans?

We have a service tonight, but I'm going to be at a practice instead for our performance tomorrow evening of Stainer's "Crucifixion".

DH is off tomorrow (Good Friday is a bank holiday here) and all next week. We're going to have a couple of nights away on a little break.

What are your Easter plans?

I have two stores to visit and a bank to scope out for a new program at work. This is my first time doing the bank program so DH is showing me one of his branches to get me up and running faster.
Easter may be quiet, I am having dinner tomorrow afternoon, and relaxing Sat and Sun. Going to make the pastel coloured deviled eggs for fun. Thinking about Easter bread for Sun morning treat.
DIL is very sick with the flu so I believe their travel plans (to see her family) will be cancelled.

today we are spending the day with my dad. Looks like I'll be cleaning the livingroom for him from top to bottom.

I'll also be blowing my nose like crazy and fighting off sinus pains.

Gotta hit the bank and might call for a doctors app. for tonight.

Friday we are all home and there's already talks of being lazy in bed.

Saturday we might go to an easter egg hunt and maybe have a ham dinner.
I also might try to go to a skating show that some friends kids are in.

Sunday is easter b'fast at church and church for a good part of the day.

Monday hubby goes to work and J and I will be spending the day together.

Staying home all day today and play in my scrap room!

Glad you're having a mini-getaway Rosey. Somewhere fun I hope?

Easter dinner (lunch) will be at Mark's grandma's, but we need to discuss future holidays, as we have too many places to go :-/

My little man is 6 months old today! And he's decided to sleep in a bit for the occasion apparently! Later this morning, him, mom and I will go get groceries. Dh is also off of work tomorrow for Good Friday but we don't have any Easter plans until Sunday. Mom will still be here and his mom and sister will come up as long as the weather is ok. His dad will be away working and his brother is spending the holiday with his girlfriend's family. Suits me ok because his girlfriend is scared of dogs and if she came we'd have to put ours in their kennels which I don't plan to do for an entire day.

May get together with a few girlfriends for coffee/dessert either Friday or Saturday evening. Other than that we have a few things we want to get done around the house this weekend.

Working today. Need to run to drug store on my lunch and pick up some cough medicine for DH. He's picked it up from somewhere and hope he keeps it!!

Tonight I need to put together the DGS's Easter Baskets. I've gone overboard, I'm sure. Also need to put together some cookies -- Buckeye's -- as that is what the oldest DGS16 asked for. I'm tripping them out in green & yellow chocolate for Easter so I can't call them Buckeyes this season.

Tomorrow will be spent running to the grocery, picking up what I need for family gatherings on Saturday and Sunday, making those items, putting together some sort of Birthday cake for my DS (turns 31 Easter Sunday) and picking up the house.

Hmmmmm -- maybe I'd better work tomorrow -- sounds easier!!

Got my wo done for today!

Working on laundry now. I'm going to clean the basement bathroom and start sweeping the floors today too. The girls will be home tomorrow so it will be difficult to clean around them. lol

I'm really bummed about Easter this year. My parents don't want to do anything. I think my mom is depressed about her birthday, which happens to fall on Easter day this year. I wish I could change their minds. My dd's are so disappointed, and so am I.

My inlaws aren't planning anything either. My bil is visiting my nephew in NC, my sil is staying home. My niece is spending Easter with her bf. That would just leave my sil, inlaws, dh, me, and the girls. I guess we'll see.

Either way I'm going to have turkey, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie Easter day. We're also going to have an Easter egg hunt for the girls. Even if it's just the 5 of us.

Yeah Jen, I can imagine the holidays are getting harder for your mom & family

Maybe you can give each of the girls a special project or recipe to prepare for your luncheon.... Dress up fancy even though you're at home (?) and of course an Easter egg hunt!

Jen, I'm sorry.

I hope all the sickies feel better soon. The holidays are no time to be poorly.

Happy half-birthday to Ben!

Stephanie, we're having a city break in Salisbury and going to see Stonehenge, Woodhenge and whatever other exciting sites we can find in the area. I think there are loads. I just hope it doesn't tip down with rain. We often get quite gorgeous Easter weather - and then it turns nasty in time for my birthday, but maybe this year that we're actually doing something for Easter and NOT the birthday, it will be the other way around!

Some rocks in the rain? Well keep your fingers crossed for us that it doesn't do that, eh?

Thanks ladies Things have definitely been different lately. I'm not sure what caused the change. Lately I feel like we're not welcome and we force ourselves on them when we do visit. I don't know. It's all emotionally draining and painful.

Jen I expect everything is just too much like hard work for them. It certainly won't be personal.

I hope the Dr. can get you fixed up Sarah.
