What does your Saturday hold in store for you?

Nothing special here. It's another grey, miserable day. DH is planning on fixing the front door lock. I'll probably be doing the ironing that I said I was going to do last week and didn't.

listening to my husband complain.

we had our last hockey practice

J has a birthday party to go to for a couple of hours

home to make supper

then send the boys out to a hockey game

Then I have church prep to finish and hoping for some quiet. I'd like to squeeze a walk in there somewhere as well.

meeting my friend Sabrina for breakfast in half an hour - it's been too long since we've chatted!

Home to do 'Miah's laundry and play in my scrap room this afternoon

Dinner date w/Mark tonight. We got numerous restaurant gift cards for our wedding, are going to put those, and names of some other favorite restaurants in a bowl and draw one out to see where we're going

I've had my 'green' LO/SOW done for probably a week now. Still have to journal on it. Then make the near-duplicate for my son's album. I may or may not do some cleaning around the house but will likely potter in the scrap corner if not actually scrap.

I was trying to get my stamps organized but I need more laminate sheets and it's hard to find ones as thick as the ones I had been using (can't find them - I think c-line must've stopped making them). I ordered some avery ones but they were flimsy for supposedly 3mil thick and had to return. I was able to get a feel for some by fellowes, which seemed slightly better (though not as good as c-line) and then ordered them online through Sams Club for cheaper than Staples. So now I have to wait several more days.

Oh, need to start my seeds, too. Got soil yesterday. I like to germinate in damp paper towel first but didn't want to start that without having the soil on hand. Also got some seeds - 2 breeds of broccoli, corn, and I thought it was time I got new tomato seeds. Plus, I wanted romas so I got one of those and one called Oregon spring. Which is an early mater and cold-tolerant. It also says nearly seedless.

Isn't that frustrating Tam, when you can't get what you're used to? I recently used up all the foam tape I got in Oz, and all I can get here seems to be the little pads. All those bits of backing paper have been driving me bananas.

I don't use mail-order unless I have to, because I worry about them putting bricks and mortar shops out of business. But if the B&Ms don't stock staple goods, then I will have no choice but to use mail-order - and then I'll order more from them to justify the postage.... and there's the downwards spiral.

Well I wouldn't normally order online just because of shipping (and I do like to see stuff in person) but places I shop usually aren't mom and pops that'll go out anyway. The Sams Club store didn't have much in the store - just pouches, and I want sheets. And at least the price online included the shipping. AND it was cheaper than getting it at other stores.

Since I use it for stamps in an index/filing system, it needs to be decently sturdy because it stands on edge.

Well.... we drew Chili's out of the hat, so that's where we're going for dinner

Loved catching up with my girlfriend over breakfast, hearing all about her recent trip to Hawaii, talking about Britt's upcoming shower & about the house she's about to restore for / with her daughter Mallory.

Now - to scrap

We're going to visit friends. Can't wait! We haven't seen them in awhile. Dh is dropping the pups off at the kennel now, Ben is napping and I have the vehicle packed. So excited to scrap with her too! Another friend of ours will also come over and scrap!

I was meeting my friend for a coffee and we had so much fun. I did not see her since Christmas, because she moved away last year. And of course we had lots to talk about.
Then I made lunch for Natascha and me and in the afternoon Siegy and I took a walk into town. The have kind of a fair there for cars and other things. It was nice and lots of people, but it was so freezing cold, that we were happy to go home again. Now we are just lazy

Poor Thomas, what's the matter with him? I hope nobody else gets it.

Susi - that sounds like such fun!

Enjoy your trip Amanda!

Stephanie I'm jealous. We haven't had a nice restaurant meal out for ages.

Sounds like everyone is doing something nice! Sorry Thomas is sick though Mindy.

I went to the healthclub and took two classes that positively kicked my butt. I can't find a muscle that doesn't hurt! Came home took a shower, put Lucy to bed and now I'm laying down for a little bit. Then I have to get ready to go out to dinner with the family, Greg's side included. Fun!

Lol believe it or not I did take a picture right before I left to go work out. I will load it up as soon as I'm done feeling sorry for my muscles.
