I am meeting a girlfriend for lunch and will get a few groceries while in the city.
I'll go up to the auction house when I get back to town, as Mark's getting off work early - to do his Vanna White gig up there this evening
Britt and Jav will arrive for the weekend!

Sounds exciting Stephanie!
Just cleaning here. It's a grey, misty, miserable day. DH is finishing early and won't be happy when he learns that we've had a reply from the council AT LAST, saying that we do have to apply for planning consent to replace the existing conservatory with an identical structure in the same place. That letter cost £55.
So that will be another 6-8 weeks delay, £172 plus £600-700 for surveyors' drawings, just for permission to change what is already there for the exact same thing, before we even start on the cost of the conservatory itself.

its a cold rainy day here too, just want to snuggle back in bed, but I have errands to run in town. I might stop by my LSS to make it a little more fun
tonight I hope to spend scrapping - we'll see how much motivation I have after the boys wear me down by bedtime.

What is a conservatory Rosey?
I'm getting ready to go work out and maybe do a little birthday shopping for Mimi. I have no clue what to get for her. My girls really put new meaning to having it all! I already bought the Lego friends house which they'll love but I want to get some other things. I think I will make a stop at Target after Zumba.
Mindy, what are you planning on looking for at your LSS? I haven't bought anything scrappy in a while.
Steph, where are you going for lunch? I'm looking forward to my girls night out tomorrow. Though I think they might make me miserable and all wear velour suits! LOL DON'T THEY KNOW THAT WENT OUT WITH THE DARK AGES?!

I think it's basically a greenhouse attached to your house.

Oh, I was wondering about that. I always thought of a conservatory as a classical music school.

A conservatory in Britain is what you guys call a sunroom. Apparently. Not a greenhouse, that's for plants. This is for people. I just Googled it for you Vivi.
It's a glass lean-to.

well, I always hear about growing plants in conservatories so it made me think of greenhouses. I wasn't sure if it had a regular roof or not. If it does, then I'd call it a sunroom.

I had to know, so I googled it.
It's much like I said - although a conservatory can be called a sunroom.

We are meeting HERE Viv. I've been a couple of times, but Lisa has not...
And your velour comment (LOL) reminded me of THIS thread that I started awhile back. I still need to post pics of the items I'm referring to....

I would love one of those Rosey! My favorite is the Victorian one on the left!
It is a sunny day here. Ben and I went to yoga this morning and got some good stretching in. My plan for the afternoon was to do some cleaning as the inlaws were supposed to arrive this evening for the weekend. My MIL was going to be taking a course here (she is an air cadet commanding officer) but she called yesterday to say she has taken a leave of absence from cadets so doesn't need to go to the course. So they may come for one day on the weekend but aren't sure yet. Since she has known since Monday she could have called sooner so I didn't go and buy a ton of food at Costco yesterday. I really don't like when they say they will possibly come up one day on the weekend and don't tell us what day until the day of. I am a planner! Oh well.
Probably will still sweep and mop and dust this afternoon at some point. Other than that not much planned.

I would love to add on a sunroom! It's on my wish list. I would put a hot tub in it. lol That's to bad that you need an approval to replace something that is already there.
I volunteered in Abby's class today. The kids are learning about shapes and made robots out of recyclables that parents sent in. They also painted t-shirts earlier this week with different shapes and wore them today. Super cute! Abby's robot has a diaper box body, styrofoam ball head, birthday hat, plastic cup legs, straws for ears, toilet paper tube for a tail, and paper towel tubes for arms. She said it's a robot puppy.
Then I went to the gym and did a full body workout. I ate a bite when I got home and now I'm taking a little break before I start cleaning.
It's so pretty outside! I hope the girls go out and build a snowman today before the snow melts.
