I am looking for an efficient way to store my stamps. 99% of them are acrylic. How do you store yours?

My acrylic ones are stored on their clear papers in sandwhich bags. I usually stick in the paper overlay showing what the stamps are. Then the bags are in a basket. I don't have a ton of acrylics.

I have mine stored in notebooks on 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of clear plexiglass. I put each plexi sheet into a sheet protector and label all the notebooks so I can locate like ones easily! I have worked online for many years and received many, many stamps of all brands....I would guesstimate I have about 200 plus acrylic stamps and this system works well for me!

Mine are in CD pockets in a zipped binder that used to hold software CDs. The pockets have clear openings on each side, top opening on one side and side opening on the back. I have Christmas in one, and everything else in the other. I'm almost at the stage of starting a third.

This. I bought some clear CD jewel cases and a box of clear transperancies. They conveniently came with a white piece of paper between them, so I was able to cut the transperancies/papers the size inside the CD Case - stamped the image on the paper and stuck the stamp to the transperancy. Nice and neat and I have all the images nice and clear on the front. . . my next job. . . I'm going to make a lable for the tops so when they're filed I can tell what they are that way too!

I did store acrylics in CD jewel cases to start with, but a set of Inkadinkado Christmas stamps reacted with the plastic and melted the stamps. I had silicone goo everywhere. End of jewel cases.
So please be careful with those?

I used CD cases years ago and some wouldn't "unstick".....ripped my stamps from the reaction weakening the acrylic.......threw the cases away and came up with a different idea!

I have a few acrylic stamps in CD cases, have had no problems so far. And they aren't any harder to get off the plastic than some of the ones that are still on their original clear sheets. In fact, I have some Close to my Heart acrylic stamps, in the original packaging, that are sticky, soft, and one tore.

That might be okay. I think the issue is having the stamps touch the case themselves.

I like that you can flip through easily to see what you have. I tape a picture of what the stamped images look like on the back of each divider to make them easier to see. It's a little pricey for what it is, but you can buy extra dividers and this would hold a LOT of stamps.
I also have some of those little binders Hobby Lobby sells. really like those too, except that some of the bigger sheets won't fit in them.

Isn't it funny that these stamp producers haven't thought of a great way to do this. . . that doesn't melt the stamps. . . that doesn't get the stamps sticking together. . . that puts them in some kind of case that can be carried places easy. . . that you can sort into "like" designs and that you can flip through and find a specific design easy. Heck. . . is that too much to ask for? We all have different ways, and each one has good ideas and probably some problem. If they could work this out they could probably sell a lot of them! :-)

So many ways to store those acrylic stamps. Great ideas everyone.
Every time I buy a stamp, I buy a block for it too.
Adhere the stamp to one side, then run the stamped image (on plastic sheet) through my sticker maker and stick it to the other side of the block, and use the other clear plastic to protect the stamp and store them all in a large clear plastic storage bin, separated by theme.

I wonder if they still even make those boxes? It was the summer after my son was in 1st grade I think so... like almost 14 years ago.
I actually have 2. The other one I have little containers with beads and misc. bead stuff in.

Currently I use cd cases also, I have found that they are sticking and tearing. I didn't think about puting the clear transparencies to protect them.
I really like your storage box tam. That is a great idea.
Jennifer, that basket is nice too, but I would spill them all over. I wonder if I could incorporate the two ideas and use a photo storage box.

Mine is not this, but it's like it. Bigger stamps go in the bottoms and overlap the top pockets. I use the original paper packaging in the back of the pocket, and leave the plastic backing on the stamp.
I also stamp the image on the paper as well, so that I can tell where it came from if I take several out at once.
As it zips it is perfect for cropping because nothing falls out.
