Even DH didn't want to go out and shovel! He spent most of the day inside, working on taxes. Finally went out and shoveled a path to the shed to get the small tractor out so he can get rid of all the big drifts.
Think I'll just stay inside and stay warm!

I hope you got all the snow from this storm, it's due to roll into our area during the night. They are only calling for 1-3" but the freezing rain I could do without. Of course THAT is supposed to hit tomorrow during rush hour.

Virginia, remind me again how far you are from the KC area?
Britt was giving me snow reports all day & I was/am so jealous of all that they got! Jav went to work in the a.m. (rode with a guy who had 4/wheel drive. But by noon, the interstates were shutting down and vehicles were stuck all over the place. He eventually got home around 2, but it took a long while!
Here's one of the pics she took for me Tam:

Our schools had a 2 hour delay this morning, but I'm guessing it was because of the morning temperature. We got maybe 6" of snow.

Fun pics Steph!!
DH is still busy clearing snow! Sooo nice to have some real significant snow for a change! But I don't even want to know how messy it will be when it starts to melt!

It wasn't quite the blizzard they had predicted. A lot of stranded motorists. I haven't heard of any casualties as of yet.
Just really glad we got the moisture we've been waiting for! I wouldn't mind being snowed in for a few days!

Lol, the schools here would scream in horror at a 2 hour delay if there was 6 inches of snow. If we get an inch of snow they call off. They are wusses here.

We had more ice than snow on this side of the state...probably about an inch of the white stuff under the crunch of the clear stuff. Drive in to work was uneventful (I have a 40 mile drive each day) and I counted ONE state snowplow the entire trip -- and it was sitting at a gas station.
All schools in the area cancelled. Had to be because of the ice -- and the fact that the powers that be at the schools are afraid of the parents. LOL They get chastised each storm for not calling off by parents...when we were kids we had to walk in the snow -- up mountains -- both there and back -- with no delays or cancellations.

We are only supposed to get 3 - 6 from this one. That's good since we still have some left over from the last storm that brought us 30 inches
