It was a quiet weekend on here, not many people about. I guess everybody was busy.
How is your Monday looking?
DH is out at T'ai Chi tonight so I have the house to myself until about 9pm. I've made him sandwiches, so I'll have something quick too. It's nice to be able to have a snack dinner once a week. Sometimes I can't be bothered to think ideas for a proper meal.
Today I have some cheques to write, some ironing to do and some scrapping to finish. And cards.
You?

Have been to the eye doctor already to check the pressure, which went overboard last friday when I was there after the surgery. It was better today, so I am happy.
I am not allowed to do much, but want to slowly get some cleaning done and some ironing is waiting too.
I would love to scrapbook, but I don't see very well. When they did the cataract surgery they put down my diopters in my right eye from 5 to 2, which makes me so happy. But the glasses are wrong now. So they told me not to wear them. Okay, but on my left eye I have 7 diopters, which means, I don't see very much now and I get dizzy and felling sick easily.
First they wanted me to buy new glasses until the next surgery, but now they set up the new appointment for march 13th and with the time the glasses take until you get them ( 2 weeks) it does not make sense.
But I want to try to do some scrapbooking anyway, I guess.

Oh yes Susi! The surgery was on Thursday, wasn't it? It's good to see you back on here again already!
It sounds as if it's going to take some adjusting, doesn't it? Can you get a lens taken out of your glasses and just keep the one you need? That would work as a temporary measure, wouldn't it?

It was on Wednesday and everything went well so far. We discussed the possibility of just putting some glass in for the right eye, but that would be as expensive as making new glasses. Crazy, I know!
Just have to live with it and in the end I will be sooooo happy to see so much more than for the last 30 years or so.

That does sound crazy, yes.
So you're having the other eye done on March 13th, right?

Yes! And then after 6 to 8 weeks I will get new glasses. But with 2 diopters on both sides it won't be any problem.
I tried to put on my old glasses and it helps for a while, so that might be the solution. After I while I take it off again and so both eyes will habe time to rest.

I have been getting headaches, I wonder if my glasses need updated.
As far as Monday, my boys have the day off from school today. I have to work. I don't really have plans for tonight. Just the normal housekeeping/mom stuff.

After dropping daughter off, no more driving around - son has day off.
Ironing and scrapping I think.

Dh is off of work today as well. Well for the most part. This evening him and his boss are driving up to a city a couple hours away because they have an 8am meeting there tomorrow morning. My nose is stuffy and my throat is killing me. Normally today is my cleaning day but we'll see what I feel like doing. I kind of want to go to Michaels and look at photo albums and 8x8 albums to pick something up for the recipe album I want to do for that gift.

it's still storming here. Hubby is home for now as the city buses were called off the road. Most places are closed or going to attempt to open this afternoon, not sure if hubby will go into work or not for 4 hours, well the depends on how fast we can shovel the driveway. There's a 4 foot bank at the end of the driveway.
So shovelling is the first goal. Then I'd like to make cookies. After that, not sure.
My sinuses are really bugging me today and I have a horrible sore throat. ugh.

I don't know yet - still waking up
Probably ought to go to town & do some things that didn't get done last week -
Figure out something to have for dinner & have a quiet night on the couch w/my hubs.

OK I've made a hair appointment and they are fitting me in right now. I have to find a new style I like in about 5 minutes flat.

hubby sent me back inside from shovelling. My sinuses are hurting and i'm just not feeling right. My right ear was hurting this morning as well but I put it off as sinus pressure. Well being outside made it worse. I was almost in tears, felt like vomitting and my ear pain was out of this world. The so many km an hour winds aren't helping either.
Hubby is amazing he's shovelling through his pain, he was hit in the ribs by a hockey puck on saturday and is hurting lots but he's taking his time shovelling. I think I am going to make pancakes or waffles for the boys.

DS is on his way back to my dad's. He has been here since Thursday and I am not wanting him to go but he needs to get some work done on the farm. I am going to curl up and watch a movie or two and figure out what I am doing this week. Think I will return to work next week but calling the doctor tomorrow to see if he thinks I should. Still have stitches in....

well, when I got my butt off here my little bit of ambition to do the ironing had left so I went straight to scrapping. Finished a LO, got a second one done (pretty fast as it was a near duplicate), and started figuring out another one. Stopped to upload my LO and get a bite to eat.
