Painted "frame" and doodled around the photo matt.
The background paper isn't that bright IRL, it's more of a goldish yellow. I layered a lot of chipboard embellies....

 The paint did not work very well, I used a butterfly stencil that did not stick and so it looked just messy. I " overwrote" it with the marker I doodled with, since it was a similar colour anyway. At least the paint is underneath
