There's never anything to watch on TV until about 10:30pm, and DH is always in a bad mood because he hasn't got done what he wanted to get done over the weekend. Which he didn't mention, and hadn't actually decided on until it was too late.
Never mind that we've had fun - cuddled an owl, saw the bird feeder completely robbed by a squirrel and dismantled down the garden, bought a replacement and a new toy for the gecko, and chuckled at him being very suspicious of it. Never mind that he's had a nice lunch out, bumped into one of his old friends, talked to both our mums and had two sleep-ins.
Nope, his whole weekend was ruined because it got to 10pm before he realised that we hadn't time to watch the recording he had wanted to watch (and hadn't mentioned), because instead we had watched something I suggested, which he didn't object to, and I would have changed if he'd asked. 
He's gone to bed. In a strop. And very surprised and annoyed that I didn't want to join him in that mood. Strange that. Most unreasonable of me!

We can watch his show any time, that's the silly thing. He just suddenly realised that it wasn't the weekend any more and he had to go to work the next day and it depressed him, and he turned into Mr Illogical-Strop.
I wish I could find out how to make his work more fun. He really doesn't enjoy it, and that makes me feel guilty about being at home. Which is stupid, I know.

We've been talking about that this past week. I went to see my old colleague last Wednesday, and he offered me a room at good rates. I would still have to fund the refresher courses, insurance and CPD though, and I have no patients. That's the problem. No patients, and the clinic is 20 miles away - not even in my area so I can't really ask my friends here to travel.
That aside, we still have a couple of projects to complete at home, and they need someone in attendance for those. We're both agreed that that will be me. I could retrain and try to advertise in between while it's all going on, and go back to work afterwards, but it still wouldn't bring much money in once you factor in the expenses. It never has. Maybe enough for a few treats, but it would really only get me out of the house and back into the work ethic again. In essence, it would mean two of us with work stresses and still only a little more than one income.
So we're agreed on that. And that wouldn't change his work. I think he just gets so very stressed out with his job that the worry of going back on Mondays eats into his weekends. He's always been a bit like that. And apparently his boss is off sick at the moment which is piling the work on him. My poor man.
